Well this will prob be my last race session for a few weeks till I get the Uprev programmer/and the datalogger and laptop, need to save all the fundage i can to save for all of that, well tonight when i first got to HRP i was very doubtful on how well i would do, thier was a very strong headwind of 15mph with gusts up to 20 occasionally, but the temps where low 70's even at 5pm.. so i tried to stay happy :P I was praying the wind would die down but it didnt till almost 9:00 pm.. After my first 2 motor runs a older gentlemen came to me and told me he'd been watching me race and thought i was doing very good, i asked if he had run his ford lightning yet and he claimed no that his driver didnt show up.. Low and behold after 5 mins of telling him what i had done to my truck and how addicted to racing i was he said this "Would you ming taking my truck down the track for me, Please..." My eyes lit up with glee like a high school virgin bout to get some for the first time,lol I told him I'd love to but i wouldnt want to be responsible for any damage that might occur so i said sorry i cant.. Then he told me not to worry about it drive the piss out of it just like you would your own truck, that $hit happens and he wouldnt hold me liable for anything.. I said sure then i'll try it.. he had Hoosier racing slicks on it and it was a automatic so i thought it'd bbasiclly same as my truck but on steroids :P Well i did a good 5-8 second burnout till the tires where screaming for mercy, then floored it after letting off the gas to make sure they'd grab and sure enuff they launched hard without slipping, so i knew i'd be in for a full throttle launch off the line.. Staged and redlighted of course with a -.03 so his truck was a little more responsive off the line than mine, i don't have his ticket any more but i remember the 60' was a 1.78, the 1/8th mph was like 86, and the 1/4 was 12.7 @110mph
Let me tell ya this Fu45er had massive nutz off the line it slammed me in the seat, and accelerated like a damn rocket compared to my truck..ohh well nuff bout the lightnin' here's what i ran,lol

I was threatned with being ejected from the park cause I didn't have a helmet and the lady was really pissed at me still for running the ford lightnin' with a 12.7 with no helmet,lol She flat out told me if you run this truck again i will have u tossed out till you get a helmet or slow down.. she was ticked,lol

The next run i did i had to get off the throttle 3/4 the way thru the track so i wouldnt chance popping another 13 second run, didnt want to get black balled from this track so i took thier advice and decided not to use nitrous the full run.. still managed a 14.5@78mph trap speed sucked cause i let off the gas after the 1000 ft mark..
