E Loc in 2 WD

I heard through a few friends that ther is a mod you can do to switch on your E-Lock in 2wd instead of 4LO. Anyone heard of this? I can't seem to find a thread on this. My boy told me that he saw it in an Off Road Magazine.

Isn't it bad to bypass the e-locker switch. My e-locker in 4lo disengages past 15mph. I thought the e-locker was relatively weak and set to disengage at higher speeds to avoid breakage.
