I received my Volant G3 CAI and T-304 polished stainless steel cat-back exhaust system yesterday, and I got everything installed today. Everything fit perfectly. The stock exhaust came off in a breeze (14mm). After you take the stock exhaust off, you have to remove the rubber hanger hole(two 12mm bolts) closest to the y-pipe and then bolt on a relocation plate and then put the stock hanger on top of the plate. It's pretty easy to do. After that you need to connect the two y-pipe pieces with the clamp. Don't tighten is down just yet, just get it on there a little bit. After that, I got the y-pipe under my truck and slid the hanger into the hanger hole and then lined up the ends to the cats. I can see why some people think they that the y-pipe does not line up correctly, because mine looked off as well. The easiest way to get it on is to get it on one of the cats, and then wiggle and pull until you get it on the other one. Took me about 5 minutes to line both ends up correctly. I put the nuts on on the bolts and hand tightened so it didn't come off. After you have this on, you need to mount the muffler with clamps and using the factory hanger hole. Next, I removed the rear pipe hanger because it was too hard to be able to get both hangers in at the same time. I stuck the rear hanger into the removed hanger hole and bolted the hanger hole back on after I got the muffler completely into place. Again, don't tighten down on the clamps just yet. Now clamp down the rear muffler by feeding the rear piping above the rear axle. After the muffler is secured by the hanger with clamps in place, you can bolt the rear hanger back into place (two 12mm bolts). Everything should now be in place. Go back and tighten down the nuts by the cat and tighten all 3 exhaust clamps (clamps use 9/16") (y-pipe and both sides of muffler. I reused the factory nuts and did not use the bolts and nuts provided by Volant. When you first start it up, there is a nice deep roar that quickly quiets down to a little louder than stock at idle. When you floor it, it gets quite a bit louder than stock. At WOT, the sounds really comes alive. The thing I really like is there is no drone at normal cruising. At 60-85 mph, the exhaust sounds just like stock from inside the cabin, so this exhaust will definitely please those who want a quiet cabin when cruising. Pix are attached. Vids are now below also. I do have some more videos too- I'll upload later.
Pic1 shows the packaging the exhaust and intake (and Nissan Titan hotwheels!).
Pic2 shows how the exhaust was packaged in the box. Everything arrived perfect.
Pic3 shows the Volant exhaust -the pipe that is still in bubblewrap is not used. It is only used if you want to use the factory y-pipe. To use this, you need to cut after the factory y-pipe, then stick this pipe in there and use the extra clamp provided.
Pic 4 and 5 show the stock exhaust and Volant exhaust side-by-side.
Pic 1 shows the y-pipe relocation plate.
Pic 2 and 3 show views of the y-pipe
Pic 4 shows the muffler exit hole.
Pic 5 shows a view from the tip looking inward.

Thanks for the compliments guys!! I really like it myself. If anyone is thinking about buying this and want some different video or sound clips, let me know and I'll do my best to help you out. But the install could not have been any simpler. This was my first time to do anything with exhaust and I was kinda nervous, but it really was a breeze! Like I said, if you are interested in the exhaust, PM me and I'll let you know how to get it cheap.
I just hope that the welds hold up over time but sounds good. Md weather eats exhausts up SS or not.
It is T-304 (aircraft grade) stainless steel, so the exhaust should outlast the truck. If you're worries, just go under and polish it every couple weeks The welds that came on this exhaust were the best I had ever seen. If you want some close-ups of the welds I can try to snap some pix that show how good the welds are.
This is by far the best mod I've done on my truck, and the best bang for my buck.
I installed mine today and it is 100% quality. The Volant is one of the best systems bar none. The build quality is exceptional, it looks great, and most importantly is sounds great. It's not loud and obnoxious like some others popular systems, just a nice deep growl. Also, I went on some trips on the highway on my way home and I didn't notice any annoying drone. The Zoomers isn't the only no drone exhaust......and I get annoyed pretty easy, that's why I ditched my intake last year 2 months after I bought it. The Volant exhaust is staying on forever!
BTY, the installation went as smooth as possible without directions. If you take your time, the pieces all fit together flawlessly. No worries! No welding either, the clamps are very tight!
My install this summer of the Volant CAI was as easy. My install with the Magnaflows is Socks on a Rooster. If your on the fence....dive in cause your missing the better truck hidden underneath the stock air and exhaust.
