I'm going to put a muffler on my titan, and I'm looking at the flowmaster 40 series, and magnaflow.. I'm gonna do the custom piping, so can you guys tell me which you prefer in sound and performance? Because i've only heard the flowmaster

In a week I will have a new Magnaflow 5x8x18 on. I now have a flowmaster 70, so I will be able to give a pretty good idea on how they compare.

Glad I found this site. I'm looking to put duals on my 05 LE. I have been given all types of quotes from $200to $600. I was also told that I would not beable to haul a load on my vehicle if I went with duals. Imagine that needless to say I have not stop looking yet.
I'm pretty focused on the F/master 50. Just had a few questions. D/O vs S/O? Is it neccesary to change the airbox? If anyone has noticed a cahnge in the MPG since the change
Flowmaster 40 should be much louder, and magnaflow a little deeper sound. also it makes a huge sound difference on how you route your pipes. the longer is usually quieter, and duel is usually louder. I had a 5.3 silverado with a flowmaster muffler that was single in and duel out on the right BEFORE the rear wheel. the tips where angle cut to match the body line and it sounded awsome. It seemed to make a nice sound at speed i guess maby due to the fact of the way the wind blew it off the tip. sounded like a jet! just be sure not to go too BIG. if you go duel dont do 3" out or you may loose some low end.
