I'm putting together a website to share Titan data logging info for all to see. This is a work in progress that will take sometime to put together we have just started.
.
Look at the Info page for some good reading. See the data uploaded page for Excel files of logs. For generic logging download version 2.0. For UpRev logging download version 2.6
.
http://home.tampabay.rr.com/thrustti..._684__V2.6.xls
.
This is the list of parameters to log for UpRev data
.
1) A/F CORR-B1 (%)
2) A/F CORR-B2 (%)
3) AFR WB-B1 (AFR)
4) AFR WB-B2 (AFR)
5) A/F WB-B1 (V)
6) A/F WB-B2 (V)
7) ACCEL PED POS 1 (V-Accel)

Re: Attn. All Data Loggers

Thrust how many HP do you think our stock injectors would be good for? Just wondering how much boost a centrifugal could put down before the stock injectors were maxed out. Make sense?

What do you think about the self contained ATI D1SC w/air-to-air intercooler? Think UpRev could do something with that?

Re: Attn. All Data Loggers

Very interesting spreadsheet...I have a few questions.

I notice in the chart "0-60" that the mass air flow dips hard right off of idle, and again it softens around 2500 rpm, and finally falls off at 5000 rpm. With the rpm on the rise, and I assume the accel pedal is WOT, the only thing that I can think of that would cause those air flow dips would be actual throttle being pulled back. Could you (or have you) rans those same runs while logging both accel pedal position and throttle opening?

It's easy to see how much ign timing is pulled back off of idle and during the shifts..

Thanks!

Re: Attn. All Data Loggers

I just took another look at your data and found both throttle columns, but no data in the Accel pedal position one, and I now realize the throttle position I was looking at was the actual throttle opening...my above posted theory now has a fatal flow!
So...maybe the retarded ign timeing is reducing the volumetric eff. thereby reducing the airflow at those points?
What do you think?

Re: Attn. All Data Loggers

Mark

Any s/c will need bigger injectors and recalibrate MAF, UpRev should be able to tune it.

loufish

There are a lot of questions and now by comparing data logs and posting it, maybe all the great minds on the site can discuss it. All the runs are WOT unless posted. MAF (VE) will have a curve but it shouldn’t drop dead at 5000 rpms. In the old days timing would peek around 3500 rpm’s and I don’t know why these new ECU’s don’t have a timing curve. In the V2.6 data the chart for the (turbine, rpm’s and speed) if the speed has a smooth and steady climb that means that there was no wheel spin, the turbine will have a smooth and steady climb as well, the rpm’s will arch away from the turbine that is the engine rpm’s running faster than the turbine. This is torque converter slip i.e.: engine management (loss of power to the wheels!)

THIS IS THE DATA LOG PAGE FOR ALL THE FILES

I’m using the UpRev software for this, it works the best for performance logging

Re: Attn. All Data Loggers

One of your charts shows "Offset", what is that?

Re: Attn. All Data Loggers

If you look at the Volumetric Efficiency Data Sheet the projected gm/sec is in column J and that is 100% VE, column K will show the real time gm/sec (MAF), column L will show the difference between J and K and that is the "OFF SET", a good VE is 85-90%. Some of the data has hit over 100%.

ps on the Volumetric Efficiency Data Sheet column E row 6 change that to any number like (85) then hit enter, look at the chart 0 to 60 the blue line will show the VE at the number you entered ie(85%). when the pink line goes above the blue line that is more than the number you set ie(85%). When the yellow (off set) goes above 0 that is a positive VE number above the number you have set ie(85%). It is the same for the 1/4 mile (25 mile).

Re: Attn. All Data Loggers

we need a aftermarket manufacturer to make our trucks a upgraded intake manifold optimized for more high rpm hp.. this falling on it's face at 80mph is getting old

That should be a clue that something isn't right. Either a calibration issue or there was a CAI involved.

Can always port the existing manifold a little. But don't get your hopes up on that. Extremely expensive for anyone to cast aluminum intakes...even with a large aftermarket they are slow to develope. SBF, SBC, and a few others have a choice...particularly 87-95 Mustangs. Best bet is to go to someone like Hogan and have an intake custom fabricated...$3,000 - $5,000.
