Exhaust Question?

What does everyone think of dynamax exhaust? When I first bought my titan I was convinced to go with it from the shop I bought it from. And then yesterday I decided to order a x-pipe and some bigger tips to have more of deeper rougher sound, but im still debating on 3.5" or (4"tips(probably to big), right now I have 3".I would appreciate everyones input.

Thanks
Justin

Justin - can't answer your question, but I have been looking for some tips that will sound as good as they look on my setup (see sig.).

How do tips affect the sound???

Re: Exhaust Question?

I was told with my exhaust,x-pipe and 3.5" tips it would give me the sound i was looking for but you know there's always the shops that want you to spend money. But a few of my friends said that it may give me the sound i want. But I dont trust them to much because the majority of my friends drive honda's lol

Re: Exhaust Question?

i'm wondering about how much tone the bigger tip will give...
i was told by the shop that installed my flowmaster that tips don't really do anything for sound, (but the guy i dealt with was kind of a punk-old-man. i have a 3" tip (maybe 3.5"??) and i think it looks kinda girly. i would like a rolled tip 4 incher. anybody wanna chime in on the tip issue?

I want a tip that sounds good - some say it makes a difference, some say it doesn't.

Looking at:

Re: Exhaust Question?

I have a Mellotone dual outlet on mine . I love it. Sounds great. I have "3 1/2 by "18 Tips on mine turned out the sides. The tips made a big diff. in sound. When I first got the exhaust I had no tips. Got them putt on later. The mellotone muffler sounds like a flowmaster at low rpm's and like a glasspack at high rpm's. Also has lifetime warranty on muffler against rusting out.

Re: Exhaust Question?

I paid $225 for the whole system total. I got it at Dan's muffler shop in Slidell. Looks good. I'll try to figure out how to add a pic today. I'm sure the muffler is got to be sold in other states.
