Exclamation STS Turbo for Titan

Hay, i know everyone has been waiting for a turbo to come out for the titan, or another vender to offer a more reasonable price on a SC. I was wondering if ANYBODY has ever seen one of these STS Turbo systems on a vehicle in person. I have been emailing a guy there for a while on a kit for our trucks, and he tells me they have one coming out soon. I mentioned the computer and he said they have been working on it. that is the part i have been hung up on, oh and the cost haha. first he said he would cut me a good deal and split costs and install it for around 5k. but there are out of state for me and i cannaot afford that much. i asked about their "universal" Kit that list for $2900 i belive. but he emailed me back saying he would set me up a kit for the Titan delivered to my door me for, (well i cant list the price cause it may be a one time offer, but it IS WAY LESS than $4000). thats better than stillen's $5900!! Well, im REALLY Concearned for reliability purpuses with this motor, as i do not want to buy a replacement motor. just wondering if anyone has seen this kit in action before and can vouch for their system as putting as much power (or really close to) to the ground as a conventional turbo or blower. thanx help me out hear and maby i could get him to do some sort of group deal. Here is the link if you wanna check out their products...

Re: STS Turbo for Titan

So much time and effort would need to go into getting the stock ecu on board with a turbo, let alone testing for durability..this smells fishier than a thai whore house in August.

Re: STS Turbo for Titan

A buddy of mine has a sts turbo on his z28 and loves it. STS didnt do the ecu tune themselves. I believe the ecu that came with his kit was by a company called diablo something. His car is crazy fast.

Re: STS Turbo for Titan

That STS turbo is pretty nice but mounted underneath the rear of the car. It would run pretty nice on a nice pretty warm day but any other day, that car would be sitting in the garage.

Re: STS Turbo for Titan

i'd go for it but without ecu tuning to make it safe you'd end up with a blown motor for sure.. so unless your willing to fork out another 600-1000 bucks for ecu tuning thru either uprev in austin tx, or technosquare somewhere in cali i wouldnt buy the kit..

Re: STS Turbo for Titan

Once I see a TITAN with 20,000 miles with kit on, I'm not interested. I want to make sure the kit can be used rain or shine.

Re: STS Turbo for Titan

this has been discussed quite a bit before, about a year or so ago. it seems the results for HP were mixed. some said over 100, and some only got about 60..... try it and let us know.
