Talking Installed K&N

So I finally splurged and bought the K&N intake system from Stillen.com a few Thursdays ago. $207 shipped, not too shabby.

Have got to say, I was never really into cars (or trucks) in terms of mods and gaining HP but I think this thing has me hooked on performance modifications!

The thing roars big time at WOT and I feel some more power in the 30mph-60mph range (obviously could be in my head), and I didn't really notice a difference with the low-end performance (as some have mentioned is effected with an intake system intalled). I hit it at a light and one guy walking down the sidewalk did a 360, his face alone was worth the $200!

Do get a little whistle from it so I may have to adjust some clamps. Other than that a very easy install (I was very hungover and its cold outside too).

Once I get bored with hammering the throttle (most likely never) I will check on any MPG gains.

Happy Moding!

Re: Installed K&N

Might I suggest a prefilter/filter wrap? They work great for keeping the big chunks from getting stuck between the filter folds and adds another layer of protection against water. It more than doubles the time between cleanings, for me.

Re: Installed K&N

KNN is a good choice... nice and quiet at regular speeds, then when you stomp on the pedal she opens up nice...
