2 questions in 1

I am new to this forum and doing Mods to my Titan. I recently installed a Volant CAI and a PowerAide TBS. Should I reset the ECU or will it work itself out and learn? And if so who should I have do it? Also, should I wait to have a 2 degree advance if it is needed?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: 2 questions in 1

first you shouldnt have to reset the ECU it will learn on its own after some time of driving....second youll get many diff opinions on the 2*timing advance but its really just up to you if you would like it done...oh and last welcome to TT!!

Re: 2 questions in 1

you don't need to reset the ECU but you can do it yourself if you want. the procedure is on here (search) and it's pretty easy. i've done it a few times after modding.

and no, no need to wait for the advance; it will not reset w/the ECU unless you unhook the battery for something like 5-72 hrs. i know, that's a real accurate timeframe, lol

You should never reset the ECU unless to clear a code.
