Are stillen headers worth it?

I have been back and forth about getting the stillen long tube headers. With the stillen day coming up I just wanted to hear from people who have them and to see if they are worth it. I know on there site they claim big numbers for them so I just wanted a couple of honest oppinions.

Re: Are stillen headers worth it?

I do know that, but was there significant gains after putting them on?

Re: Are stillen headers worth it?

yes I have also seen that too. I guess what im asking then is just for a couple of people telling me that they work, so I can justify the time and money going into this project. LOL

The best headers on the market if you are looking for performance. Yes they work, that's why I showed you my dyno...Good luck!

Re: Are stillen headers worth it?

2k6, do you know how to read his dyno? It shows pretty darn good gain over stock headers!

Mark, how loud is that exhaust, how about drone?

Re: Are stillen headers worth it?

Well i've had 3 diff flavors of exhaust (banks, true dual, now JBA)....As long as you put some cats in the mid-pipes it's pretty mild with minimal drone. At the moment I don't have cats and my drone is there but only at 60mph...thank goodness I never drive 60..lol!

Re: Are stillen headers worth it?

ummm ya, i know how to read a dyno. I was just asking if the people who had them saw and felt the gains and were happy.

Re: Are stillen headers worth it?

I am on the edge on whether to get them or not. It is a lot of money for just a set of headers (around $900). Unless I am wrong and am just looking at the wrong website.

I have also heard about the lean problem. So if you get headers then you also have to get a tune. Which just means more money. I guess I can just run up the credit card and smile about it later. Maybe the wife won't see it.
