Re: Can we make a sticky of who can give 2 degree timing advances??

Is this mod really worth it? I just read a comment from the link posted above and one guy mentioned his gas mileage dropped. I'd like to do it, but don't want to run higher octane or lose fuel mileage. I am coming from a 7.3 powerstroke diesel that was getting 13 mpg, this 2006 Titan in town gets 16 and I save around $.50-.60 per gallon over diesel,

It’s definitely worth it. Noticeable throttle response and low-end torque and my gas mileage hasn’t dropped that I can tell, but it depends on your driving style and traffic. I'm getting around 17-18 mpg. Bone stock except for the advance.

OK, how about someone in FL to do it. Preferrably southwest FL. I kind of went through a few pages of this thread, but didn't see a listing of someone from Fl to do it. I suppose if I don't like it I could always go back. It's not that expensive of a mod to lose out on really. /

On the higher octane thing..

Here where I live, premium gas is 20 cents per gallon more expensive than the lowest octane. On a 20 gallon fillup, that's 4 dollars difference. If you can't afford 4 bucks extra on each fillup, you oughta be driving a hybrid.

I'm cheap, so don't tell me what I should or shouldn't be driving. I drove my diesel at 13 mpg for 7 years. I am entitled to save myself a few bucks now and then. I also worry for when pulling my trailer.

I don't know I was supposed to be Mr. Moneybags to drive this truck, like your self.

Anyone in or near Pittsburgh? Tried the local dealer and they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about.

Re: Can we make a sticky of who can give 2 degree timing advances??

Woodmen Nissan in Colorado Springs can do it on 08's for 56 bucks. Just ask for Rob. I LOVED the way that the truck seems to be "woken" up

Being able to afford an extra 4 bucks per fillup makes someone "Mr. Moneybags?"

Damn, can you afford a Titan?

Should we take up a collection for you?

Maybe a better job is in order?

Re: Can we make a sticky of who can give 2 degree timing advances??

So I went to Trophy Nissan here is Mesquite and the head mechanic told me they cant advance the timing at all. When I pulled up this thread on my iPhone he looked at me stupid and said its all a lie. But anyways, anyone around Mesquite/Dallas willing to do it for me?
