Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

OK, hopefully this one gets some responses.

BTW, Chief, I'm sticking with "somewhat". It's been a good unit, but for the amount of money, I think it should have come with just a bit more. Maybe removing DBW, or some more low-end. But if I was to do it all over again, and choose between this and Osiris, I'd still pick VKPro. Just matches me. I've got little time to play around with something, so a simple plug'n'play works for me. That, and I've been reading about quite a few people who had problems flashing their trucks and having to send in their ecu's.

Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

Decypher i was one of those that had his ecu crash doing the flash but best customer service i have ever come across made a call and had me out a new ecu with the flash next day truck only down not even a full day these guys are quick to respond. I think both of these are good just depends on what you are looking for a quick plug and play or a chance to get your truck perfectly tuned with wide open throttle. And a chance to get tuned over and over again with new mods as you get them. You cant go wrong with either. Sorry to get off topic lol.

Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

I was somewhat satisfied when first installed, but I had the stock exhaust on.

Well the Gibson exhaust was just installed and just the first test drive, WOW. Big improvement. Kyle said the more mods you have the better it would respond, well he weren't kidding...

Now, I'm completely satisfied.

Thumbs up Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

I am completely satisfied with mine, now... I have always ran with min. of 91 octane, so no change of gas prices for me... When I first received mine, I jumped right into the install. It was a 102 degree afternoon, sweat my @$$ off, but got it in after 15 to 20 minutes. Took her out for a test drive and felt the beefier 0-60 pull, low end improvement. When I got it through the 80-100 range, seemed to climb much easier through 4th and shifted into 5th with ease. There were a few moments of frustration however... while just cruising home, I experienced a solid SLIP light and SES light. After resetting the ECU and test driving again, SLIP and SES activated again after 20-30 miles. I called Kyle, described my symptoms and concerns to him, he told me that he would send me a new module that would be set up for my 35" tires and that should fix the problem. Three days later, I put the new module in, sent the other one back, and I have had no problems. In fact, it seems as if this new module has given me more pull in the low range than the first one, so I have no idea what settings were adjusted to compensate for my oversized tires, but whatever it is I like it!

Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

Seems like there WERE some people who were throwing the earlier poll off. Stupid that people would do that. It's not a damn battle. We are all Titan owner and enthusiests.

nytitan, good to hear that you were taken care of! Good customer service is hard to find these days.

Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

I wonder if the mods would delete the previous poll thread since it seems there may have been some sabotage.

Chief, I'd recommend geeting the VKPro for the following reasons:

1) It is a simple plug'n'play. Easy install and once it's in, you don't have to play with it.

2) The performance gain is very noticible.

3) It is pure joy to drive with it

4) No worries about ruining the trucks ecu.

5) When it comes time to sell the Titan (hopefully way down the road), you could sell the unit seperately. The Osiris is married to your vin, so it would have to be sold with the truck (unless UpRev can/will un-marry the unit for you).

Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

I am really glad to hear you guys are happy with it and it's just one more choice that benefits all Titan owners. If UpRev hadn't packaged the Cipher software and given unlimited tunes with theirs I would be sporting the VkPro. I can't believe someone would sabotage the poll and I, like most Titan owners, want honest opinions and not bogus propaganda. Thanks for the insight guys and keep us posted because I still have a friend on the fence about this.

Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

its good to hear that everyone is pretty satified with thier vk pro. maybe i will make the move. on one dis-satisfied TITANMADNESS808 put that he was not satisfied with his unit at all. i wonder what was the reason for that.

Without a post to explain, I would ignore the vote.

Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

well, IMO Satisfaction is really a sense of "what you expect" from the VKPro... It's a gain of 30HP and 40ft/lb TQ... give or take some with/without CAI/exhaust mods. It's enough to feel, but if you expect a neckbreaking change, then go for the gusto and get the SuperCharger, afterall Stillen has the summer Disneyland special...

Re: lets try this again cuz im not convinced

Well i took a brief break from titantalk for a bit as the aftermarket went a bit stale for a while. Everyone was waiting for their VKPRO unit in much anticipation. But to my surprise......i dont see the kind of feedback that i expected from the unit. I was thinking i would get back on here sometime after initial deliveries and people would be talking as if it were better than sliced bread. Sounds like for the most part all the plug n play units are for the most part equal. Nothing i have heard makes me want to run out immediately and sell my Unichip to acquire a VKPRO. Thanks guys for all the feedback and good luck with everything!!!!!
