With the advance and CAI, you will notice a big performance gain as long as you have a free flowing exhaust.

Re: Timing Advance

You will notice a difference with the CAI, and the advance will help a bit more

Yes you will, but change out the muffler with a Magnaflow muffler.

Re: Timing Advance

Advance on an 08 must be done with the Consult unit, not Cipher.

To be specific only the Consult 3, the Consult 2 cannot advance that timing.

Re: Timing Advance

Thanks for the clarification BBF, I thought that, but wasn't sure. Very important!

Re: Timing Advance

You dont need to have the CAI and exhaust mods done in order to have the advance timing performed. You will notice gains in power and torque with a stock air box and stock exhaust, its just the power gains are greater with intake and exhaust mods

Re: Timing Advance

Hoe exactly does the timing advance help with power, any warranty issues?

Re: Timing Advance

it bumps up the whole curve, so the power increase is accross the board.

no this will not void your warranty, even if the dealer say it will. Nissan allows any and all dealerships with a Consult II to be able to do this.
