NISMO Catback

I was at the dealer yesterday an I found a NISMO Catback system on an 08. Twin 3in pipes from the cats to the chrome tips. The system sounds sweet. Not as loud as the banks. No drone to speak of. The idle sounds smooth and rich. My only beef was the cost. The parts guy said it would cost around $1300 for that system. I have no pics, but I can get some later today.

Doesn't matter how sweet it sounds, I wouldn't pay $1300 for a cat back exhaust system...unless it gave me 45 more HP.

Yea I seen it at the dealer too. Way too money for a cat-back system. Damn dealers still trying to rip us off.

Re: NISMO Catback

what's a good price for any cat-back system? and they won't affect your warranty, right?

Re: NISMO Catback

How do you know about the drone? You need to be driving to really tell.
I'd love to "wake" my truck with an exhaust system, but can't stand the drone around 2000 rpm the comes free with each exhaust...

Yes, they don't charge anything extra for the added drone...lol. Every system has some drone, including the stock setup. From what I read over the last couple years, Zoomers supposed to be the best at minimizing drone. Some people have no clue what drone is, so they report that they have none. The louder the system is raises the drone level proportionally.

Re: NISMO Catback

$850 is around cost plus 10%. Dealer Cost is ~$750 and MSRP is $1100. I may get it for the $850 once I hear it....
