1st Titan owner exhaust?

Hello everyone, i had just bit the bullet and bought a new truck, i test drove them all and i gotta tell ya. The Titan Kicks some tail. I bought the 08 Crew Cab PRO-4X. Very impressed with this truck so far. I Just ordered the PRG
1.3" leveling kit last week. Im hoping it will come in the mail today. Now im lookin for a dual exhaust, ive read up alot on the exhaust posts on this site, but alot of you get the single out. Im looking for the dual right out the back. I do have the tow package, dont know if that matters or not. lookin for increased gains and for a good sound, not real loud but enough for everyone on the street to know who's boss. i love the sound of banks and JBA but really would prefer the dual look. any feed back and cost ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 1st Titan owner exhaust?

Borla makes a dual exhaust. It' a single muffler, 2 in, 2 out design. I believe magnaflow offers a true dual set up.

Re: 1st Titan owner exhaust?

I just ( and I mean just) put on a Stillen stainless steele dual rear exit cat back. If you are looking for a really loud system this isn't for you. It's a little louder at start up, nearly stock at idle, but has a much deeper tone. With the added volume and new tone she has a mean growl at wot. I can give you an idea of how it looks (see my thread stillen test drive and pics), but no sound clips. I mean heck I just got my first digital camera a month ago!!!

I have the Flowmaster 70 series full cat back with single in dual out the sides. I absolutely love it, roars at WOT. Unfortunately, I haven't tried the other two to give you an unbiased opinion.

Forgot to add...It seems most people on here like the JBA for performance and the Banks for sound...

Re: 1st Titan owner exhaust?

It all depends on what you really want. In my personal opiion the titans stock sized pipes are ideal for what the titan like with back pressure flow etc. What I did was ordered a 2 in 1 out magnaflow muffler and a tip 3" stainless 10inch long tip and I am going to weld on. I believe Magnaflow does sell 2in 2 out as well. I at first wanted a dual but heard from the knowledgeable people in this community that you could loose some low end power. Its up to you!

Re: 1st Titan owner exhaust?

Just change to a magnaflow two in two out muffler and have some dual tails put in off the muffler you already have dual 2 inch pipe from cats to muffler.I went with a H pipe up close to the motor and could not be happier with the sound and performance.H pipes are good for low end power.

Re: 1st Titan owner exhaust?

I have the same truck and put the Banks Monster on it. DO IT, you won’t be disappointed.
