BBK Performance Parts getting involved with Titan.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that there is another company out there now starting to make parts for our TITAN. I dropped off my Titan last week for BBK Performance Parts to use to make a new set of headers and cold air intake for our trucks. Just thought i would share the good news with you. There R&D guy over there said he would provide me with pictures as they go along, so i will post them up for you as I get them.

I just emailed him asking about that. But they hadn't said anything about the throttle body when I dropped the truck off. I will let you know when he responds.

That's great news! Have they said anything about a possible time frame when they'll be ready to sell?

No they haven't said on when they are looking to having them on the market. If you guys post the questions you are interested in finding out more about I will ask them as we go along. They seem like pretty cool people over there and he seems more than willing to let me know about what's going on.

Do you know what price range they are looking to sell the parts at. The headers are they long or short tube?

Re: BBK Performance Parts getting involved with Titan.

The headers will be shorties and will be direct replacement for the stock manifolds. As far as pricing you could probably check their pricing for the other applications they do. I will ask them when I talk to them later in the day.

Re: BBK Performance Parts getting involved with Titan.

Are we talking about welding the cats on like the JBA's or just headers with a flange so you do whatever you need to do about cats downstream (like Nismo/Stillen)?

I dont know who this would appeal to more the F/I Titans or N/A......but I know Uprev gave up on the throttle body testing. They came to the conclusions that it was not effective enough to warrant more R&D. Good to know someone else is attempting to make aftermarket items however.

Re: BBK Performance Parts getting involved with Titan.

More importantly, will the headers be CARB approved?

Re: BBK Performance Parts getting involved with Titan.

Yellomantis I don't see why they wouldn't be, but i will check with them on that. Tech at BBK said it looks like they will be making two different headers. One that you weld the cats back on and the other will have a flange at the collector so that you can easily adapt to what ever setup you want from that point on.

Try to convince them to include a set of CARB approved high flow cats on there so we don't have to mess with cutting and re welding the OEM cats back on......
