JBA Install question

First off since this is my first post i'd like to thank everyone for their contributions to this board, as I have found the info here invaluable.
I've been reading the board for about a week now and decided to go with the AEM CAI with the JBA catback exhaust on my now completely stock 2006 SE. After looking at all of the pros and cons of the sytems this looks like a winner for my 06 at a very reasonable price. I already put in the order and the exhaust should be shipping on thursday. The intake should ship on next monday.
Now for the question. It's been awhile since I did any mods on a vehicle, with the last exhaust done by myself being on a 90 mustang GT back in 91. I have read many of the jba threads but no one seems to mention the inclusion of the gaskets. Use the old ones? Does the kit come with new ones? Use any type of sealant? I have no clue and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Any install tips would be great too.
After I finish the two I'm also planning on the 2* advance. Thanks to the info from this board.

Re: JBA Install question

It does not come with gaskets. I reused my stock ones, but mine is an 08 so they were new. It is a very simple install. I would expect the hardest thing will be breaking the nuts free at the Cats. Once you get those 4 free it is down hill. It took me an hour and a half to remove my old exhaust and install the JBA. I was using basic tools in the praking lot....

Re: JBA Install question

I would also recommend tac welding the slip joints after you have it put together. A local muffler shop charged me $25 for it.

Re: JBA Install question

I am considering also installing the JBA Exhaust in my 04 Titan. I've never done an exhaust change, from what I've read this seems to be an easy weekend project. My only question is, is there any welding required? If anyone has any installation photos I would like to see.

Re: JBA Install question

I bought a new set of Walker gaskets, but reused the stock gaskets. At 10,000 miles, my stock gaskets looked better made than the Walker replacement set. The installer put a small bead of exhaust gasket sealer on the JBA flanges and bolted it up, no flange leaks. Make sure you put the muffler clamps as close as possible to the end of each slip joint, within an 1/8" or so. I had two small leaks, one after the Y and one at the muffler inlet. I moved each clamp closer to the edge and retightened, that sealed it up better and no leaks as of today. Oh, every slip joint was tack welded with a 1" bead.
