lol, j/k. actually the length of the exhaust tubes of the header are different. Generally the long tubes make more power on the low end and short tubes make more power on the top end. has to do with exhaust flow and velocity.

Both shorties and longtubes make more power then stock manifolds(depending on the design....99% of the time this is true other then LSx engines, where buying shorties gains you a whole 3rwhp if you're lucky).
Shorties are usually good for a vehicle that needs to go through emissions in states like Kommiefornia because they check to make sure the kitties underneath are in the stock location. This is why long tubes are not always 50 state legal, because they more the kitties back farther and the CARB/EPA nazi's think the cat doesn't work as well.
Long tubes actually make more power then shorties all across the board, but especially down low. Most people I know run an off-road pipes with Long Tubes, but you can still run kitties if you choose.
