Well, started about 8:30 and finally finished up at 2:30. WARNING O2 SENSORS ARE A PAIN IN THE *** TO GET OUT!!!!!! Now I am waiting on Nissan to order a new O2 sensor because we stripped one getting it out. So far so good, I had Uprev email me a base tune for the headers and will start data logging as soon as things dry out here. Also you may want to recheck measurements given by JBA for cutting off the Cat. Almost too short. Butt dyno says it feels good. Will have to wait a few weeks to get her back to the track or dyno. Once Uprev sends new flash based on data logs I will be giving you an update on what I hope to be more horsepower and better times at the track.

Whats The Difference Between "short Tubes" And "long Tubes"?
then length of the tubes...
lol, j/k. actually the length of the exhaust tubes of the header are different. Generally the long tubes make more power on the low end and short tubes make more power on the top end. has to do with exhaust flow and velocity.
im sure others will chime in with a better explanation.
Sound of exhaust has been slightly affected, but not much at all. I was actually surprised. I drove it about three miles withouth the exhaust on, from the headers back, to go get the welding done. Now that was loud!!!
Well I drove the truck to the airport on the 25th and got back in town yesterday. O2 sensor is in stock and I am getting ready to go pick it up. I believe I am hearing a little exhaust leak. It's probably just a bad weld somewhere. I can DEFINATELY feel a difference in power. Just waiting to get the O2 sensor on and weld fixed so I can do some logs and send them to uprev to try to fine tune it some and then its off to the dyno and the track. Should have weld and O2 sensor fixed tomorrow and I can only hope Jared and uprev are prompt with an updated tune.
Debadged,4 piece billet grille, Diamond plate truck Box, 20"Akuza wheels, tech12's w/ Memphis PR1-1000 amp / M-10's, Kenwood 7019 DD,DVD HU, Line of Fire LED light bar, LED third brake light, ADJURE crystal eyes tails, EFX HID lows and fogs, painted to match MADA air dam / inchannel window visors, Stillen Billet aluminum cap covers, 15% front tint, Non BT mirror swap.
you may or may not have an exhaust leak. With headers you can hear the cylinders....sort of a bap....bap.....bap...bap...bap...faint sound.
This truck loves short tubes. My low end and top end's running great.
Your welcome to ask for some of the info from my tune...Rossi.

No I did not do the install. I had one of my mechanics at the Honda dealer I work at do the install. All he wants to do now is turbo it and spray. LOL
O2 sensor installed today so ck engine light is off now. We found the leak in the weld and hopefully will get that fixed tomorrow so I can get some logs done and get them sent off to uprev. I am ready to see what she can do now, but I want to make sure the tune is right before I get on her at the track and dyno.
The small leak will throw a code everytime on a header install. Mine did come loose after a week or two. Just had to retighten. You will know if that happens. And you will feel more of difference after your second and maybe third tune. Those generic tunes are ok to start on....but be careful you may be lean and dont want to push it too hard. Definitely drive it for a 100 miles or so, then do a few good runs to log. The second tune will be much better and safer I am sure. I actually LOST power before i got Uprev to tune my JBA shorties. After that it was all good though.

Arnt there bolts that a specifically for headers that wont loosen up with the heat? So, you wont have to re-tighten them every once in a while. Im curious, How did you lose power by adding headers?

The difference in exhaust temp and volume of the i.d of the header will throw the O2 sensors off. In turn, the computer thinks its running lean which will throw it into 'safe mode' and dump fuel, which will make you lose power.
BTW, just check to make sure the bolts are tight on your manifolds for the first 2-3 weeks. I checked 3 days after the install then once on the weekend to make sure. They were fine after the re-check.
