We should know within a month about the performance. At $350, this sounds like a good deal if it knocks off 2-3 tenths in the 1/4 mile, big if.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

Besides the power aspect of Uprev I like the fact I can scan codes, data log, etc. with Cipher. To me that is dam near as sweet as the power increase on its own. I doubt Bullydog will have that option.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

The Power Pup can scan and clear codes, here is a link to the Bully Dog site for their Dodge Hemi Power Pup, the features are all about the same and yes the WOT over ride feature is addressed

The engineers test the product on each and every year of truck, they started with the '07 and worked backwards that is why the '04 is not finished yet. Everything says the '04 is the same but they have to put everything through its paces on each and every truck before they will release the product for that truck.

Also the Bully Dog product is updateable for FREE on line, that means that if you have an '07 now and in two years you buy a 2010 Titan you can get the updated software for free from the Bully Dog site. Same thing for the '08s and all that, they also offer additional features to be downloaded in the future for free, maybe they come out with a faster tune, or one of their special race tunes, that sort of stuff.

And this is just the tip of the iceburg there is a lot more stuff coming from Bully Dog for the Titan, datalogging, vehicle performance tests, electronic gauges with tuner, this is just the begining!

That sounds more promising there. Looks like they may be going a bit further than the VKPRO and others that didnt. Good for you guys waiting and buying!!!! Just about all programmers can clear/scan codes these days. The money question was WOT from 0. just hope and pray that they do indeed offer this feature, because if they dont it's just another programmer.

my scangage2 scans and clears codes

The best thing about this power pup is competition... Competition makes everyone else stay on thier toes and therefore we get better products and it helps keep costs down too.

I like the fact that it allows for a 87 tune that will add a few hp and mpg's and I can change my performance level whenever I want without compremising my warrenty. That is what I like about it.

"WOT over ride feature is addressed"......If that is true, 3 tenths knocked off in the quarter is a given.

Let's see, Uprev has competition(if you call it that) on programming. Does that keep the prices competetive? Not in my eyes.Of course Uprev to this day has no competition in reality because no other company offers that type of product....service?... eh.....could be better, as they do. I had a Unichip and it blew!!!!! The VKPRO guys arent out there yahooing either. I know a buddy who has an Evolotion "Edge" programmer on his 6.0 chevy and it does exactly what this module is claiming to do. In my eyes it wasnt the right choice for my buddy. You wont see gains from these big companies like a PRO TUNER will net you. And the jury is still out on the WOT addressing. All they say is they are "addressing it"? The Titan costs more than any other vehicle to modify. Mostly because of the competition is slim to none. It's still going to be high for the gains given.

Don't get your pantys bunched up The Roy

At this time Uprev may be the only custom tuner out there but it does not mean that it will be the only one. This power pup may (hopefully) offer some other alternatives to Uprev for those that are a little skiddish about loosing their warrenties (which they will) if the dealer finds it during a diagnostic test. That is the MAIN reason that I do not do any major mods to any vehicle in warrenty. The other thing is that with gas prices what they are now there is no way in HELL I am going to put premium in my truck for what kind of mpg I get. I am not complaining about my mileage in any way but since premium is not necessary I dont use it.

As for the piggybacks they are nothing like tuners so time will tell on this bully dog.

If by me trying to give good advice is miscommunicated as my panties in a wad then please forgive me.There are alot of details that everyone needs to be aware of when starting down this road. This isnt just a bolt on Cold Air Intake.....this is serious stuff here with the ECU. Impulse buys on stuff like this are huge mistakes. Just hope everyone does their homework and feels comfortable with their purchase. BTW.....what idiot would go to the dealer with a tuned setting on their truck anyways? Thats why Uprev gives you the "stock" option. If you dont use it.....shame on you. My dealer hasnt balked on any warranty work on my truck.

well according to uprev's website the "stock setting" still is not exactly stock so if the dealer is actually looking for it... who knows. To me is a 700 dollar mod worth possibly loosing the remainder of my warrenty over... no. Also I will not be getting anything unitl I see results like the ones we get from here.

as for the other parts I was just giving you the usual hard time, I know it has been a while so...

You been reading the FAQ's on Uprev??? It's as stock as any Nissan guy can tell. You should have kept reading, they tell you that if you need it they can get you back too. The dealer has never said anything to me. I have a real good relationship with my dealer regardless. See your priority is your warranty understandingly, however some want more than that. It is another option for us, which is good. I am just not so sure this product an Uprev should be mentioned in the same thread yet. So maybe shame on me as well.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

Well as an 08 owner I wouldn't mind being a TestBunny. I am a bit leary about the level of performance being as hyped. But that is as it is with all things. I have seen what UpRev can do for people who are obsessed enough to put another 5 grand or so in performance mods to achieve the highest level of performance and logging out there. I have also seen that they have grown way to fast to provide proper customer support. Kind of cuts both ways.

I think we should keep in mind this offering will not be a replacement for UpRev, but another solution in an aftermarket that flat out sucks for Titan owners. And competition in anything can only make it better for us, the consumers.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

I think alot of people are going to be test bunnies. Uprev has addressed the growing pains by selling pro tuners the rights to use their software. Just hang in there on that aspect, as it's coming. I wouldnt say I am obsessed, I just love my truck this much that i would rather invest in it vs. buying a new vehicle. Again that is an option to weigh in your decisions when buying items like this.

You guys stay on this, keep us updated and good luck!
