Re: Any Bully Dog update?

Damn,
I would have volunteered the FireHorse to be a test bunny in a heartbeat!
I didn't know they were looking for beta testers for the 08.5's??
Is the ECU on the 08's and '08.5s the same?

At this time Uprev may be the only custom tuner out there but it does not mean that it will be the only one. This power pup may (hopefully) offer some other alternatives to Uprev for those that are a little skiddish about loosing their warrenties (which they will) if the dealer finds it during a diagnostic test. That is the MAIN reason that I do not do any major mods to any vehicle in warrenty. The other thing is that with gas prices what they are now there is no way in HELL I am going to put premium in my truck for what kind of mpg I get. I am not complaining about my mileage in any way but since premium is not necessary I dont use it.

As for the piggybacks they are nothing like tuners so time will tell on this bully dog.

hmm lets see... 7x4 tank fillups a month = an extra 28.00 a month I could spend on something else. And when premium is at 4 bucks per gallon...

I am glad you have a good working relationship with your dealer that is rare. I have a good working relationship with my dealer too but I would never "test the limits" of that relationship with a possible warranty killer.

FAQ's on websites are there for a reason so that people who don't know alot about something can read them. No I didn't call Uprev and ask them any questions, and yes I have been around TT long enough to have real alot about them here so I take it all in and stew. No I don't have any interest in tuning at this time (past bolt ons). Its just a slow process when you are married with 3 kids.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

New to the plug and play tuner stuff.....will Bully Dog re-learn and tweak maps if I was to install cams then headers later ? Or is this stuff just a generic tune that is set up the same for every truck regardless of what the factory settings can be individually tweaked to? I want something that will make the most out of my mods as I do them.

I like that Uprev tuned and tweaked my truck to utilize my exhaust and CAI to the fullest when I got tuned.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

I believe bullydog will be doing just generic tunes. UpRev is still the only choice for custom tunes.

Regular will be $3.75 Waaaaaa! $28.00 a month is cheap to be able to run a high performance map. I buy Premium gas now and don't have a tune. So all I need now is UpRev to feel the P-U-L-L and make my butt dyno happy. But first I will hit hoopers and get my TrueTrac and 3:73's installed then Mid Travel or UpRev . Depends on how much $ I can make between now and 3/7/08 getting ready for Barstow, Running through the desert with PRG and the Boys

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

I had a modded WRX with Cobb tunning through there Access Port Hand held up loader, and the nice thing about there up loader was they had stage 1 stage 2 and custom tunes. Lets forget about custom tunes right now, This would be the perfect Bully Dog, 6 maps available Economy , Towing , Valet , Stage 1 CAI and Cat back , Stage 2 CAI and Cat back and Headers , Stage 3 CAI and Cat back and Headers and Cams then later possibly Custom Tunes. So with there Hand held down load the maps you want from there website and up load to your ECU as needed. Progressive Tunes for Progressive Mods.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

This sounds promising. Although the April fools release date seams kinda quirky, I'm optimistic in hearing what the 05-07s performance gains are

Cobb was working on an Access Port for the Titan. Then they decide to scrap the project, sold the R&D infos to Edge, so maybe Edge will come out with something.
