Any Bully Dog update?

Kartman and WVTitan08 should have received their Power Pups last week. If you did (hope you have), we are anxiously awaiting your initial report. The other thread was getting crowed, so I thought a new one might be appropriate.

I'll be going to their grand opening next Saturday to see if I can be a beta tester for the 08's. I'm hoping there will be a power pup on hand for a older titan to test on the dyno there.

The Power Pup they have now is for 05-07 Titans only, and it does not adjust for tire size or trans shifts.

Usually with any kind of "tuner" you would not want the 2* advance.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

OK heres the info.

The product is scheduled to release to the public or or very near April 1. The Beta Test units are being assembled this week and will be out you you guys that have signed up really soon. If you have not already got signed up it is too late, they only do a specific amount of testers for each product.
Right now the Power Pup will be released for '05-'07 Titans. The '04 is very close to being ready to go, final testing is being done right now for the '04. A tuner for the '08 is being worked on, the reason the '08 is taking longer is because the ECU in the truck is MUCH more complicated, it requires a longer testing period before the product goes to Beta Testing. By the end of summer the '08 should be ready.

The product is simple to use, plug it into the OBDII port, hit download, wait 10 minutes and then select which power setting you want and away you go. If you take the truck into the dealer for warranty work you plug it back in, remove the software and it is gone. get it back from the dealer and redownlod it. It is that easy and I have checked it and yes it works, got warranty work done last Tuesday.

The product can not be stacked, it is doing the same thing as the UpRev so there is no benifit, same thing with the 2* advance. You have to pick one or the other. They could offer more power then what they are putting in the product but this is what can be done safely without causing problems, failures, etc.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

28 HP with a 2mpg gain is a nice bump! Does it do anything with the WOT kick in point? Any information on how much it will cost?

A tuner for the '08 is being worked on, Bully Dog has two trucks in house, one of which is mine so far I have seen a 2mpg increase with 35s and 28HP on the dyno. So far I have 1782 miles with the downloader on the truck. A custom tune is the only way to go.

Re: Any Bully Dog update?

If you guys arent getting WOT from 0mph, you are pretty much wasting your time. You try to race someone and have to wait till 40mph to reap the benefits of a tuning module?
