Traction Springs Installed

I installed the Hellwig traction control springs this afternoon. WOW - I can really feel the difference. After comparing photos of other installs from this board I think I need to move them up a couple inches towards the front. Outstanding use of $104 though.

Oh, and the rear got a bit stiffer going over bumps but I think I only noticed it because I was looking for it.

Re: Traction Springs Installed

I love mine, did you go with the heavy duty traction springs? I did and they kick ***. Good enough to hold me over until I can afford the PRG traction bars.

Re: Traction Springs Installed

If you move the HD set forward a couple inches, you will be clamping it to one leaf instead of two. I don't know if that will make a difference, but I do know the stock cheapo band clamp on the leafs will not get destroyed or fall off if you clamp the Hellwigs down tight. Took this picture recently after almost two years of use.

Yeah it's clamped on the two springs right now, I think I'll move it forward to just the one spring.

And yes, I did order the HD set. LOVE THEM.
