Will I lose my 2* timing advance with the ECU reset procedure?

My idle is a little rough and I was going to do the procedure below, but I don't want it to reset my timing advance. Can anyone verify this?

I just had mine done at the dealer last week. And I asked him If I were to ever have my ECU reset would that reset the timming aswell. and he told me Yes.. Im not sure thats what he had told me..
