Re: dynomax bullet racing exhaust

I run summit Dynomax Performance 17223 on a couple different trucks

94 Z71 and 01 Dogde ram and was very pleased with the sound from only changing the muffler.

I was getting ready to but it for the titan but found a good deal on a complete cherry bomb vortex kit.

Re: dynomax bullet racing exhaust

If you like annoying and raspy its for you. I have them instead of the resonators and when the muffler shop first put them on they mistakenly removed my other mufflers. Sounded like crap.

Re: dynomax bullet racing exhaust

to me raspy is that poping/sputtering after letting off the gas, you can hear it plainly in the vid above. my truck does it too. the guy who posted that he got the H pipe installed said it got rid of it. and it makes sense to me. equal pressure on both sides before the Y-pipe collector. I'm hoping to get one or an X-pipe to gain a little power and cut down on the sputtering. I have a flowmaster 40 series and hate that raspy crap. sounds un-tuned, I'd rather it have nice growl deep and what have you, but clean sounding like a tuned mustang exhaust :
