14.54 at 94.07 1/4 mile & lightly modded

Here are some slips from when I ran at the track a couple weeks ago. I got 10runs in,these were the 3 quickest. The track prep was great, didn't even get a chirp from the tires at all.First 2 runs were back to back.
Mods should be in sig.

Wow, fantastic times for non-tuned. How the hell did you get traction without the tailgate and spare? You must have preloaded at 1200 RPM and feathered into it?

Re: 14.54 at 94.07 1/4 mile & lightly modded

Nope just mashed the gas to floor from an idle. My stock Goodyears are very low on tread and they spin easily on the street but on that tacky strip I think they were acting like drag radials.I drive around the water box and never even spin them to clean them off. When I preloaded I would spin a little and would run 14.74-14.8. I also aired down to about 30psi.

Re: 14.54 at 94.07 1/4 mile & lightly modded

Man, those are some fast times! I have a 06 4WD LE with intake, exhaust, tune and I only run a 9.4 in the 1/8th!!

You have a factory freak, wait until you get some headers and a tune, hello 13s... lol

keep it running strong man and have fun!

Not bad numbers at all.

I have a very similar mod list. Maybe I can be as fortunate at the track.

Re: 14.54 at 94.07 1/4 mile & lightly modded

Those are some very good 60' times for what ur running on. Good choice on not spinning the tires. Those stock good years harden like a rock when u spin them

I do think I have a factory freak.I think with cooler weather and a freer flowing muffler that I might see 14.4's. Sounds unheard of for an intake, exhaust and timing advance only truck.Won't be for a while though,Phoenix is getting hot!

Congrats on the fantastic run! I think you really do have a factory freak. Maybe that Flowmaster is not holding you back as bad as you think.
