Hello Gang, I have an 06 Titan w/AEM intake, Magnaflow Exaust and 2* timing advance, my buddy showed me on his GPS that had recorded his speed @125 mph and he said he still had additional power left, but shut it down. we have the same year, his intake is K&N and he has a Different exhaust system, the name eludes me at the moment.
So I decided to give my truck a try and it would stop @ 113, I could somewhat feel the truck being held back, I have to assume the Govener was preventing any additional speed. Both trucks were bought used, so I dont know if my buddies truck has something we are not aware of.I do know he does not have the timing advance aside from that, there are know other mods we can find or are aware of Regardless, is thier anything I can do to eliminate the speed control device? not that I want to travel @ 125 mph but I have to assume it effects total performance? off the line etc.....
T.I.A.
Peace,
Goose.
Uprev is the company you need to contact. They can "Tune" our engines, either by mailing in your ECU to them for 300-500, or getting the Osisris software and cable from them and doing the reflash of your ECU with a file they provide. Cost is about 710, but includes updates, and Cipher software to monitor performance and clear codes, etc. Factory limit is about 115, can be reset to 300 if you like. Top speed achieved is about 140+, but i'd never want to do that!
Search the site for UpRev Tune and go to www.uprev.com. my Mods are similiar to yours. Smart man!

Thanks Blue, I agree I have no intentions on even trying to take my truck to 140 mph, It is a truck, and personnelly I dont think the areo dynamics were designed for that kind of speed, things happen WAY to fast @ that speed, in addition to other issues , like a tire that is not rated for that kind of speed, Blowing out that would be a bad thing, I had it happpen to me when I owned an Eclipse I was traveling at about 100 mph, I am greatfull it was in that car because when it happened all hell broke loose, it took evey bit of my driving experience to keep the car on the road and foot off the break, not that I am any kind of pro when it comes to driving, A proffesional would know better!!!! Anyway, I was also told when considering "Z" at Nissan that that car was designed for speed, they had a used one that was completly tricked out, carbon hood fenders spoiler, and tons of other upgrades , the saleman said that they took that care to a track in Las Vegas and hit 220 mph, how true? I dont know, it may have been a sales pitch.
Anyway,I dont know if I would ever even go 125 mph in my truck ( I wouldnt want to hurt my Girl lol), its just a macho , ego thing, I think.
Just knowing that the ponys are ready to run is what I am looking for.
Take Care,
Goose.
