I just go off the phone with Justin at BD, I explained the frustration from lack of technical specs on their product. This is what he said, WOT IS NOT ADDRESSED AT THIS TIME! the truck they used for the tunning was STOCK! they will have new tunes in the future via the website. And NO they will not have custom tunes or that capability. SO, even if and when they address the WOT issue the map was derived from a STOCK Titan. The AF ratio will not be good with any mods. CAI are notorious for a LEAN AF ratio and have to be tunned back into acceptable parameters......................................UpRev!
So this product is good for a person with a stock Titan with a after market drop-in filter in the STOCK intake that wants a little more performance.

If this is true it's a big disappointment for an awful lot of people and a sad day indeed.
It's not hard to believe and even the JWT cams were tested on a stock truck and one of the problems I have with the R&D of our performance parts.
I guess it's back to the drawing board for BD if they want to offer a product for those who want a bit more than just a small bump in power to a stock truck.
My advice to all you folks out there that were considering this for something other than a near stock truck is to hold out for UpRev and get the Osiris version if at all possible so you can monitor your truck to be sure it's safe.
I hate to beat up on a new product but if it offers no WOT and no substantial advantage for anything other than a near stock truck, I consider it insufficient for those who take performance at all seriously.
I don't care where you choose to go fast, weather it's in a mud pit or on a mountain, the power pup is just that a puppy. A lot of people I know were considering this mod because they thought at a minimum it would support a CAI and headers.
It may have been a great product if they gave it a chance to grow up a little but If what you have said is true, the product was aptly named and has no place running with the big dogs.
Unless this information is incorrect or they intend to change the functionality of the product, I have no choice but to recommend people other than the stockers stay away from this mod and wait for it to improve or for someone else to come out with a functional tuner for our truck unless you can afford UpRev.

Wow! No testing on atleast a CAI & Exhaust??? What would have
to be done if you have those to upgrades?
It would depend on the particular parts you chose because they may have a different affect.
Take the S&B intake for example, it caused Rossi's truck to run particularly lean but did OK on the FFV vehicles.
It would seem to me that with the computers involved these days that any changes to the intake or exhaust should be tracked with a product like Cypher or you run at least a small degree of risk.
If it were me I wouldn't worry too much about it until you got headers but that's me and the amount of risk I am willing to take with my truck.
I have to agree to disagree here. Yes, it is true, that if this is indeed the case, none of the true "tuners" or track guys will be able to use this.
BUT, there is a BIG niche to be filled of those people with virtually stock trucks wanting a bit more power. That was the whole premise of the Stillen VK-Pro, as well. They are simple add-on items that will increase the capabilities of the stock or almost stock vehicle. And this, unlike anything available before it, is considerably more affordable.
Now, as a CAI and exhaust are the two most basic and common mods, it's an unfortunate oversight on BD's part not to include them into the research, but nobody here knows if that's the next level of a BD tuner that could possibly be in the works, now do they?
I agree, this unit comes out of the gate with a bit of a limp, but once it gets a footing, who knows where it can finish? We shall just have to wait and see if BD responds to the initial market or not.
How will we know anything is wrong after the BD
upgrade without data logging capabilities? Maybe an
upgrade is in the works for mods; I would think it has
to be with so many guys at the very least put on a
CAI and exhaust....
You have a way with words BB, "outta the gate with a limp", lol. Yes, I will agree to agree and disagree all at the same time.
It's a definite disappointment that no mods were addressed during the testing and my guess is that the tune they offer is probably safe enough to be run on a truck with a CAI and exhaust and possibly even a truck with headers.
They are likely to improve it if sales warrant and the thing that really bothers me I guess is the mis information and in some cases no information in order to base an intelligent decision on.
They could have been a little more forthright with information but they chose to treat us like mushrooms and I don't like the diet.
I have nothing against BD and think it's great they came out with a cheaper alternative for the mildly modded and hope they improve it but I don't think it does anybody including them any good to keep information away from the public.
If they had come out with an advertisement that said " New BD PP offers a power boost for the mildly modded that don't care about WOT from 0" I could have looked the other way.
You said it not me. No tuner would stay on my daily driver until I had it on the dyno with the a/f meter to tell me what was going on. I've had to see a dyno pull stopped short since the a/f was too lean and then corrected. Many programmers "generic tunes" seem to be a bit on the lean side and depending on what mods you may already have and get you into trouble very quickly. But who cares about running the risk of engine damage when, "Downloaded the premium tune tonight. BIG difference. When you hit 3500 rpm or so the motor goes nuts and pulls way hard."
How will we know anything is wrong after the BD
upgrade without data logging capabilities? Maybe an
upgrade is in the works for mods; I would think it has
to be with so many guys at the very least put on a
CAI and exhaust....
Well, exactly.
I have a CAI, a TBS, and JBA exhaust.
If this is designed off of a stock truck, you have no idea if you are gaining anything, or if there are no changes at all.
If we had someone who could do a review with performance mods, and throw it on a dyno, then maybe we could have some answers.
Until then, I ain't touchin' it!!!

I doubt you will if they gave a mild adjustment to the timing and AFR and it would make good sense for them to do it that way, nobody wants to blow up a truck, it's bad for business.
They are right though, you really wouldn't know unless detonation were so bad that the motor safeguards kicked in or you heard it and better yet had a device to monitor for it.
It's a shame that BD didn't give more information up front but unlike a lot of us, maybe they didn't feel it was warranted.
One thing is for sure though, they should still sell a bunch of these at the current price point because it's some of the cheapest HP out there but they won't be selling it to anyone that wants to push the performance of their truck even close to it's capabilities unless they improve it's functionality.
