this is a titan hood with 2 nostrils that i was curious if it would be possible to route a ram air device to them??? make these things functional to breath the air coming into the engine through these "functional scoops".
or would this be a waist of time and wouldnt do anything?
Im not sure about that one . Does Papa D's truck have one or 2 scoops? I know his is functional. It comes so you can run air to the motor and also the intake. Its pretty sweet and lower underhood temps is always good. Just remember you gotta paint it ! We want pics if you get get it too!!!

papa_d's is one but its the same brand..
it wont be till later that thing is 720 bucks
yeah it says it functional but how would a ram air device be used?
and running air to the motor be better if it didnt find its way into the engine?

Not really sure i think they sell or include some plumbing to direct air to the intake. The other air i guess just blows through the engine. A cooler engine produces more power.

I kind of like the fender vents as well and have had my eye on those, lol.
Here is a link to the folks I got my hood from and the build quality is second to none.

LOL yea those are pretty sweet, but ive already dont some work on getting cool air into the intake. You can really hear it pull in on the fwy at speed.
This was my old 3" setup. I now run a 4" setup..... and i also want to put a thin prefilter on the end cause it gets the intake dirty pretty fast! Just an FYI incase you ever do this
Ah ha here it is...

good point! maybe you could add like a valve option to it for bad weather conditions b/c i dont that i want it open when its 102* out side either lol
All you have to do is fab up a piece of sheet metal to block any water coming in. Or you could do a bypass valve, or a drain point. That water would have to take a significant trip to make it back to the intake plenum. There is a drain hole in the oem & some aftermarket boxes. Someone with some know how and the proper tools could remedy this easily.
Also the temp thing......trust me, 102 outside is far better than the 180+ it is under your hood. Lowering intake temps 5-10 degrees is a easy way to gain a HP or two.
