Options for removing WOT

What options do I have to be able to remove the wide open throttle (WOT) from my 08 titan.

Re: Options for removing WOT

None yet, I'm assuming you have a 2WD.

Good advice. WOT is known to cause high speeds, and if hegot into a high speed crash he might...die in a fire.

Re: Options for removing WOT

Does the '08 Armada have WOT from 0mph? If so, maybe you can find a seedy dealer tech willing to swap ECU files from one truck to the other and see if it'll work. However, I'm not sure if it could actually work. On the '04-'05's, there's a way using the Consult to swap in the Armada program to eliminate the 40mph WOT restriction on 2wd models, but no one here admits to having it done it. I guess everyone likes giving UpRev $800.

No, the Armada and QX does not have this limitation. The Titan has it (torque management) since the rear end is lighter. Yes you can flash the Armada MAP to the Titan but would have to know exactly what you're doing. I believe one person have done this (he swap his Titan ECU for an Armada ECU).
You have to remember UpRev is NOT just removing the WOT limitation. There's more to it than that. If you can find a dealer willing to do the ECU MAP switch, it would probably cost you almost as much as doing UpREv, keep in mind also you need to get the NATS re-program (transponder chip in the key)
