I want your opinion. I was thinking Volant because it seems to be the popular choice and I think from reading around on this site that the power gains are good and the sound is mean. What do you think? I want my Titan to sound like a beast. And of course get some good gains out of it as well.
What do all my Titan guys think?

The Volant has a nice roar to it for sure. It looks nice and pulls colder in through a sealed box. I would compare the "bends" in the intake to see which had the smoother run to the intake plenum. If you notice the Volant takes a slight bend right before the plenum. I could honestly suggest it to you between those two listed.
I like my volant under WOT it is pretty loud but under normal driving conditions you cant even tell it's there. Power wise i could tell the difference verse stock set up. I have checked my miles per gallon and went from around 17 to 18 give or take a little that is highway and in town but more highway. 2008 4x4
I am sure you have considered the AEM Brute force but I thought I would let you know that I love mine and it is VERY LOUD. I have not heard the volant so i can not compare the two. Even when it is not WOT it sounds mean. You can hear the suction very well from in the cab and it is very noticeable from outside and it sounds sick. I noticed a considerable change in power instantly. You can not go wrong with either of the intakes. Hope this helps!

Nismo is nice, loud at WOT and quiet during normal driving. I have not seen or heard the Volant on the Titan but I would recommend the one that is completely sealed.

I like the intake overall, it seems to flow well and performs well but if I had to shop for one today I might give the Ingen a close look.

IMO, any of the name brand intakes will make a nice addition power wise. The variance between the brands is mostly noise, fit and finish and dry or oiled filter.
I agree with Papa about the Injen intake; I'm saving my pennies up for one.
Without a tune, the gains from any of the flavored intakes is nominal.
I have the Volant Gen 3 on my 08, and I felt a difference, how much better is it over stock?
Don't know. Sounds better though
I also have the Magnaflow Cat-Back, How much better is this over stock?
Don't know. But it sounds better
I have the 2* timing advance, how much better is that over stock?
A lot better
I have not done a dyno run, with AF readings, So my opinion means little on which intake and or exhaust is best for our trucks, everyone has their preference and what they believe works for them, so take it with a grain of salt.
Do a little more digging on the site, there are those that do avid track runs, and tried multiple combos of Intakes/exhausts and found what works best for them.
Goodluck!

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'm still a little undecided but this is all great info. I'll keep searching on the site for advice. I think I do want a closed box set-up. That seems to be liked by most. And also not sure if I want a dry filter or oiled. Anyways- the search continues and I'll make a decision soon. Got that 600 from the gov't and want to spend it...HaHa
