i cant deside if i want UpRev or Bully Dog. Im panning on getting headers, a cat-back, CAI, Spacer, and maybe Cams. Ive been reading about WOT and 2* advanced timing and want both mods. I was wondering if both UpRev and BD offered them with their software. I would appreciate if you can point me in the right track. Which would give me the best performance? Thanks in adanced.
if you're going to the point of buying cams... UPREV is the only way to go. can't control anything with BD... only uprev, BUT... BUT, i could be wrong...
this is just my opinion

If your even considering cams then Uprev is the way to go for sure.

Never gonna let you down.....
With the list of planned mods you have, UpRev is the best choice.

Performance mods: UpRev, JWT cams, NISMO CAI, NISMO True Duals with Dr Gas Xpipe, NISMO Headers with Swain's White Lightning Coating, Suncoast Ram Air Hood, Tru Trac, Burnout mod
Stereo mods: Pioneer Premier DEH-P880PRS head unit, Audison LRX 4/300 Amp, Boston 6x9 coaxials front & Focal 6.5 coaxial rears with JL tweeters in dash.
It probably would, but you may not see the gains that could be possible with a custom Uprev tune. The Uprev can be tweaked and upgraded as you do other mods. Granted, BD is cheaper, but Uprev is more versatile.
$720.. That's $700 for Osiris and $20 shipping. I think there's a group buy going on right now on one Titan site or another where the shipping is free, so $700.
You get a CD with the software that you upload onto your computer. It has the Cipher and Osiris software on it. You get a cable that you connect to your truck's OBDII port and upload the tune to your ECU. You get free (for now) upgrades to your tune from Uprev based on data logs you download and send to them.
The Cipher software is the monitoring software. You can perform the 2° advance for other Titan members with that software.
That's the way I'd go. No canned program in a plug-in will do what Uprev can do. I don't care what anybody says.....
About how much is the whole UpRev package? and what does it include?
The most popular package is the Osiris, which comes with Cipher.
Osiris is the software, run from your laptop, that flashes your ECU with new performance maps and such.
Cipher, which is bundled with Osiris, monitors your engine's vitals, and can be used as a diagnostic tool.
The Osiris/Cipher package will run you $700, plus $20 shipping. Soon, the package will also include an end user tuning package. For now, you can log your vehicle's performance, send the logs to UpRev, and they will send you a new tune that is tailored for your application.
Now, $700 is a lot of money, but there are cheaper ways to get an Uprev tune.
1. If you can park your truck for a week or so, you can remove the ECU and ship it to UpRev. They will reflash the ECU with the performance enhancements and ship it back to you. This costs from $300 to $500, plus shipping.
2. If you can make the drive, stop by UpRev in Austin, TX. Not sure what the charge is onsite, but is probably comparable to the mail in service, without the down time.
If you want to go all out, you can also schedule some dyno time and custom tuning.
Cant go wrong with either, I already have my Stillen Exhaust (cheap from a buddy) and 2 degree timing and next is my Intake. Once my warranty goes up and my wife leaves me alone I will get some headers and cams will not be in the picture anytime soon .
IMHO with the list of things you are planning to get Uprev is the answer, esp with cams and I feel the extra money is well spent since you will be able to monitor you vehicles settings. Superchips is developing something for the Titan as well, but after visiting that forum and reading the horror stories I think I will stay away from it until its tested further.
