Re: 4500 CFM electric fan for your Titan?

I got the fans for the first kit that I sold yesterday, I have already done the measurements and they should work fine, just wainting on the Titan radiator to the shroud off from!

Re: 4500 CFM electric fan for your Titan?

Well I spent all morning at the fabricaters shop designing the shrouds for the Titan and the 1st Gen Tundra, I can confidently say I got both drawn up on the CNC program and I have one of each getting powdercoated as we speak! They both should fit the truck like a glove with the 13 1/2" spal fans as they are the biggest ones that will fit on the truck, I have a kit sold to a customer with a V6 Tundra that I will be using a Mark VIII fan assembled with a polished aluminum diamond mounting plate, the cost is very cheap. I also have one sold for a V8 Titan using the 13 1/2" fans the PWM dc controller! Here is some teaser shots!

Re: 4500 CFM electric fan for your Titan?

I could be out in left field on this theory but it seems to me that someone with interest in in your electric fan kit is likely to have already replaced their OEM radiator with the CSF radiator. Will your kit work with the CSF radiator?

Re: 4500 CFM electric fan for your Titan?

If the csf radiator mounting is exactly like the OEM it will work, and I just don't feel comfortable installing a fan that was designed for a Lincoln Mark VIII car on a V8 truck that will be pulling heavy loads at this time.

Re: 4500 CFM electric fan for your Titan?

ohhhhh NICE! I want me some E-Fans! Finally got the go ahead, i'm getting the Koyo Radiator for XMAS! wooo! Gonna go up to nissan and get an OEM 190* T-stat and new upper/lower radiator hoses. Maybe not nissan for hoses but at least the OEM T-Stat. Should be a fun install.

Wish I had the cash to go ahead and get one of these E-Fan setups with the two 13.5in Spal fans and controller.

Re: 4500 CFM electric fan for your Titan?

I will be happy to sell more but I will need more than one buy as I will not be able to sink all the money into cutting six to eight pieces out of a sheet, because I have to have them cut in quantity to keep the price down. I will probably be selling for around $550.00!

Re: 4500 CFM electric fan for your Titan?

Could you go into some detail about the PWM fan controller and what temp setting you can set the fans to come on at?

How many speeds is the controller and will you be able to make them run both on low and high speeds instead of independant?

Also, what kind of amps do these SPAL fans pull on start up and continuous running?

And anything else that you can include info on as far as the E-fan kit components for the Titan?

Yeah $550 is good deal for the top quality fans and controller plus with that sweet azz shroud.

Thanks again, glad someone is doing this for the Titan community with quality components!

Should def pick up some power with the E-fans and get rid of that clutch fan wind turbine we have now. Might even see a 1mpg increase or something on the hwy. who knows!

Re: 4500 CFM electric fan for your Titan?

Could you go into some detail about the PWM fan controller and what temp setting you can set the fans to come on at?

The builder sets it at 180* when it is shipped but that can be adjusted +or- 35 degrees with adjustment screw.

How many speeds is the controller and will you be able to make them run both on low and high speeds instead of independant?

The controller is a PWM so it adjusts the fan speeds according to what ever is necessary to satisfy set temp.

Also, what kind of amps do these SPAL fans pull on start up and continuous running?

Fans are usually rated by CFM and AMPS as the higher the CFM the higher the AMPS, so a lower rated CFM pulls less amps, but to answer the question you really don't have start up AMPS that are higher due to the PWM gradually ramping up the fans speed, not all at ounce. The fans are RLA 22-25 AMPS and the LRA are about 35-40!

And anything else that you can include info on as far as the E-fan kit components for the Titan?

The fans have a 3yr warranty from Spal as they are OEM style fans that are made in Italy and makes fans for like BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Minni cooper and all kinds of other major car companies. I am using the biggest fan that will fit on the radiator 13.5" fan about 4000 CFM's. The controller is made by DC controls as you can research his work on the internet, he has been building these for about ten yrs he has a good reputation. The shroud is 5052 aluminum that is percisely cut on a custom CNC plasma cutter and then painted with a textured black powder coat to match the under hood perfectly.
Everything will come prewired and just two connections to hook up, power and ground as the controller knows when to come on and off because of the temp sensor it uses.
