On mine, I do believe it ended up being mounted to the firewall with a couple of self tapping screws. It had a line running down to the intake to get PSI readings, and had a wiring harness attached into the piggy ECU. Not sure if the new style harness taps into the factory MAP, thus bypassing the need for an external MAP. I would have to download the new instructions to verify.

Also, may want to try resetting ECU, etc...

funny thing about this map sensor thing it seems my mechanic does not believe there is a map sensor i believe there is stillen says there is not and nissan refusses to help us because of all the mods whats a man to do does anyone know were the he?! it is on the 2008 because i don't also at this point we are throwing more codes but still unable to solve the problem i also think my dude is about to give up on me time to cry

dangerous it is reading like a bad book but i can not say all s/c are bad there are plenty of people that have them tha have had very little issues i for one am just having some crap luck it is probably some stupid sensor that is screwing up everything we have rulled out all mech. 90% of feul and now fighting electr. but with nissan not willing to help it is hard also stillen only has to things to say, poop or its the install so are no help at all besides i don't think they know any way the part that sucks is my truck has been up for 2 months now with no end in sight arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

here is a little tid bit of info i just found out it seems that the new 08 do not have a map sensor it was replaced with what they call a boost sensor and it is located on the evap canister it does the same function as a map or so nissan says how bout it

so another day goes by still no answer we are however getting better codes out of it, it almost seems like it is limp mode. when the truck is running and not in gear it is fine i can even get higher rpms with no problem as soon as i put it on the road i can't get it over 2000 rpms also if i attemped something like a power brake it will not go over 2000 rpms another thing we tried today was to disconnect the vacume line from the back of the plenum to the piggy ecu to see if it would make a diff it did not, checked the boost sensor no problems. we also checked the valet switch whatever no matter how simple we never did get it to nissan but we have a guy from there coming tomorrow with scanner and a factory replacement computor to try and cancel out that also we just srew around trying different things to truble shoot whatever we can hopefully tomorrow will bring good news peace!

Maybe your ECU thinks the Brakes are ON which limits throttle to 10%. Hey, I'm looking at removing this feature with the Burnout Mod.
So, maybe there is a Short somewhere or the switches at the pedal are bad.

I had it worse than you my friend. Just hang in there. Check out my thread on CT under 'Never Again Stillen'.

The good thing is your mechanic is trying to help. You need to gather as much data from the Consult and send it to Stillen. If you are not sure of what data they need, ask them.

I would definately buy Cipher from UpRev. It's a data logging tool, and can check codes/clear them. That is a must. I would also get a boost gauge, wideband sensor, and some other stuff I can't think of!

Like Warp09 said, getting the Cipher software is not an option. It is mandatory. You must log the data and post it online so that the experts can look at it.
