Re: Jet 69138 Powr-Flo Mass Air Sensor

The picture on this page:
Jet 69138 PowrFlo Mass Air Sensor PowerAndPlay.com Truck Accessories
is exactly what it looks like. It is very similar to the original.

As far as I know, Jet is a legit performance company. I don't think that they would be involved in "snake oil". But I am not an expert.

Jet is a legit company. They failed miserably on attempting to tune the Titan initially. These MAF's are beneficial for anyone with FI applications. I don't think a DD mostly stock Titan will truly benefit from this part. They claim 12hp, and im sure thats at the crank. Generally speaking you can expect about 10% of that upon install. So 1-2 hp for $150.00 isnt going to kill anyone, but are you going to be satisfied as well?

What do you mean by "it is very similar to the original"?

size and shape. that is in response to
"As far as the maf for your truck can you send me a link so I can look at it. Upon initial thoughts, unless it is in a larger housing I would think it is snake oil."

Thats what I thought you were referring to.

Try it and see. Thats the best anyone can do for new products. I just know I wont be dropping my savings account balance for one anytime soon.

it's is installed... I installed it before i started this thread. As I said before, I can tell little difference... some throttle response, and easier starts. but all of that is pretty subjective.

With or without it, I still like my truck!

Re: Jet 69138 Powr-Flo Mass Air Sensor

As far as the boosted trucks go, it would be a good idea to grab the MAF from Uprev. Jared said the stock MAF taps out at 400hp. If you are putting out more than 400hp, the MAF will not send the proper signal to the motor.

What happens is the motor will not get enough fuel. We all know what happens when a motor runs lean. BOOM!!!!!

I have lost one motor to a lean condition. I will not lose another. I will be getting the Uprev MAF very soon.

Re: Jet 69138 Powr-Flo Mass Air Sensor

It is due to me on Tuesday evening the 18th. I'll try to get it installed on Sat the 22nd, but going on vacation that day. Sunday afternoon the 23rd, I'll be in Ocean City, MD and will find a place to test this thing. Seems like forever! But, got to do this stuff in daylight, and aren't any good empty roads around home. Before and after logs should be posted that night. Nov 23rd.
