Just installed ProComp MX6 Rear Shocks!!

Ok, I have a 4" spindle lift, and wanted to go a lil bit higher by adding two more inches.. I just got my shocks and rear blocks today, so i decided to not waste any time!! They are the Pro Comp MX6 Adjustable Monotube...Still waiting on my front spacers, but I just couldnt let thos shocks just sit in the garage... .. But i have one concern, when i i start driving, i feel a vibration.. then it goes away, Anyone know what this could be? Let me know what u think too.

You probably need a CBDB if you don't have one on already...I'm assuming you're 2WD...

Check out the suspension section of the forum, you'll find all your answers there.

Here is a link the CST one on PRG's site.

Re: Just installed ProComp MX6 Rear Shocks!!

If you don't make sure those u-bolts are nice and tight you may get a vibration and make sure to check them every now and then. Mine loosened or settled after I installed them causing a vibration I tightened them up and now I'm good to go.

Re: Just installed ProComp MX6 Rear Shocks!!

How big are the new blocks? They look to be 4-5"...

Not only do you need a carrier bearing drop, but you're probably getting pretty bad axle wrap as well...

the carrier bearing is where the shafts meet, sometimes with lifted trucks it puts a little to much of an angle right there and you have to lower that support to take the bind out of it. like bills 1974 said you can get a bracket for it at PRG. I actually cut the frame right there fabricated a new drop then made it ajustable using shims so i can move it up or down or side to side for some fine tuning. and like bill said i would also look at axle wrap and check the u bolts. your not pushing all that much power yet and your tires are still a good sizes so i don't think it could be axle wrap, and if tightened all the u bolts correctly that should also not be a problem, but all is worth looking into.
