What are the true benefits if any of a throttle body spacer?

About to order a Volant Cai w/ram air I think. Since I'm gonna have it all torn down anyways, I was thinking about installing the throttle body spacer at the same time. Is there any gains. I've heard about the whistle. Is it bad annoying? Any input would be appreciated.

Nothing worth throwing money at IMO. If it's for looks then ok, but not anything for performance. I had one on my truck and sold it. finally broke the 14's at the track after taking it off LOL....You won't feel or notice any power difference

Re: What are the true benefits if any of a throttle body spacer?

The true benefit is nothing for the consumer but $50-$100 in the pocket of the manufacturer. Really dont waste your money, use that $100 towards a Relentless 90mm throttle body when they are available.

It lightens your wallet, making the truck lighter...

Oh, and don't forget the whistle.
