Yeah $5k is ridiculous and I don't see how they can ask that much with a straight face honestly. I know a guy here in town with a drag car and he spent around $7k on a dedenbear(sp?) powerglide that is garaunteed to like 2,000hp or something insane. His 600+ cubic inch motor has been hammering that tranny for over 2 years now without one failure.

I wonder what exactly is included with Level 10's bulletproof tranny. I know that IPT does cryoed internals, machined internal parts for additional clutches, reworked pump for higher pressure, and the valvebody and TC mods.
I also wonder if there is any difference in quality between the two.
BTW, there is also another company that can do our tranny at Welcome to 517 Trans.
My only question is, which company is producing the best quality work?
I'll know within the next few months if this IPT tranns was a complete waste or not as I plan to drive the piss out of it. To me a company should nearly bend over backwards for it's customers, but flat out lying, and giving incorrect info really ticked me off, They still refuse to refund RB's Titan his converter core after a year after they lost it so beware!! Maybe thier product is good but IPT's customer service sucks..

I totally agree, a company should go out of its way to satisfy the customer, especially for that kind of money.
Recently I've read some ****ty things about Level 10 on other forums, such as using cheap Home Depot parts. The 517 Transmission company sounds ok from what I've read. I guess the main guy there used to work at Level 10 but got tired of their bull**** so he split off and formed 517.
