I find that really hard to believe, but I could be wrong. Good luck with the build man.

So you're driving all the way to NJ and leaving your truck for 2 weeks? Or is someone else doing the build?
I would love to do this so I never have to worry about my tranny down the road, but 5k is insane.

Out of curiousity, how many miles are on the trans now, and how many after the IPT VB and cooler? Right now im I have about 8000 miles on my 3rd trans with only adding a cooler to it. My temp gauge reads about 150-165 when the sending unit is before the 3 coolers, and 100-125 when mounted after the coolers. I am a bit skeptical of this tranny lasting much longer as my 2nd went out with only 7703 miles on it.

Man these trannys really suck if this all they can handle! Why doesn't anybody build anything to last anymore? I mean you have some good mods and pretty nice hp numbers but my god you're still N/A and your tranny is taking a dump already? How many 1/4 mile passes do you have on the tranny? This scares me.

I don't know what you guys are doing to your trucks. I took my turbo system off for some tweaks and running the premium tune with 2 degree advance with the WOT restriction removed and it still feels just fine. And this is the stock tranny. No valve body mods or additional coolers. Maybe I just got a good one, just wish my a/c was the same. I'm on my 4th a/c repair in less then 2 years of ownership.
But then again, my next time at the track could be my last on the stock tranny.

Well I drive my truck hard all the time..I have had it on the dyno prob 30 times..just a few times at the track but I'm always smashing the pedal..I have about 36k on the tranny..and around 7 to 10k miles since the vb and cooler..what's so hard to believe warp I drive the crap out of this thing..our trans are not made for racing or 340 plus hp

Have you considered Level 10 Transmissions? They also work on our trucks and are about 1K cheaper. Toomnymods isn't really happy with his IPT purchase and I don't blame him. $5k is a ton of money for a trans rebuild. It should handle 800+tq for that money.
