Re: pgm throttle body

If I had the extra money, I'd buy this one too as a spare for the PGM I bought from firelife25. Maybe I can collect all 12 and be the only PGM Titan - Mwuhahahahaha!

Well, until my unit arrives and I bolt in on, I can't give a definitive answer. Once installed, I will make a new 0-60 video to compare with stock and UpRev.

The thing with the PGM is that it makes part throttle response much more snappy and you have WOT off the line without the need for a tuner. It's like bolting a mechanical double pumper carburetor to your engine, in that throttle response is linear.

Everyone talks about how their truck is like a different truck with UpRev. I tend to disagree. Yes, the WOT is nice off the line, but part throttle repsonse still sucks. I don't know about everyone else, but most of my driving is part throttle and UpRev, nor any other tuner, can't do much about it. Believe me, I know. I have talked with Richard a dozen times about part throttle response.

So that's my take on it in a nutshell. Everyone is always focused on peak hp gains. In my experience, a 10-20hp gain is not going to be felt. I can't tell a difference in my 87octane and 93 octane UpRev tunes. The PGM is more about throttle response than peak hp gains.

Re: pgm throttle body

That makes sense, and ya the truck does need better throttle response....especially when you have big as$ tires too... when are you bolting yours in?? I think I might wanna invest in the pgm... or hope that the relentless one is just as good....

Talking to those that have them, they say first gear torque is unreal. Installing it did away with the WOT restriction, and gave it a massive boost from takeoff.

i don't think it removed the WOT restriction just installing it. It just threw in more air...

I thought I remember reading that because of the programming to make it talk to the ecu, it bypassed the WOT restriction. I could have sworn I read that. It didn't disable the "slip" from tire spinning, like the burnout mod. Well, maybe an owner will chime in again.
