nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

i know this had been brought up many times and is probably on here somewhere. i dont have the patience to go searching and would like a couple quick answers. i found the nismo set up on there site, what im curious about is has anyone seen the "Too loud titan" video on you tube? is that the same set up as the headers and catback they are selling on the nismo site? cause that truck was ****ing loud and i liked it and the caption for the exhaust system said that it meets the 95 db law or some ****. wanna make sure that its just as loud as the truck in that video sounded. and does anyone know anything about the stillen system? i know both companies do very good work on performance parts for the nissan vehicles. curious about the pros and cons of each system before i spend my hard earner, low marine corps pay on something for my truck.

Re: nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

Well I heard they stopped making the Nismo headers, but if you can find them, I believe the Nismo's are better made (headers and catback)....I don't think its enough difference to feel. The Nismo's have equal length primaries and a merge collector, the Stillens don't, they have a dump collector. But it's nothing major, Toomnymods runs 12's with the Stillen LT's. The Catback, I have ridden and am good friends with guys who have had both, the Stillen was barely louder than stock, the Nismo is loud. The Nismo is REALLY loud without cats, ask pinoytitan....Since you are looking for bang for the buck, go with the Stillen headers, since you want loud, go with the Nismo exhaust. If you want really loud, get rid or your cats

Re: nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

wouldnt having equal primaries on the nismo headers make them better than the stillen headers? or are you saying u get more bang for your buck cuz the stillens are cheaper? i want loud but i gotta keep my cats on since the truck will be living in cali and i got to do that stupid smog **** there. do you know if putting high flow cats wil help make it close to as loud as removing the cats?

Re: nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

Oh yeah, IMO the NISMO's are the best headers made for our trucks so far, no question...Completely bolt-on too

Re: nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

I was just saying the Stillen's are cheaper, and will perform nearly the same..Its not a big enough difference you will feel driving around...But the Nismo's are awesome man, did you find some for sale?

Re: nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

Yeah Stillen's are cheaper but the Nismo's are the best. Good luck trying to find a set!! No longer made. I have called all over the place to find some and no dice.

Re: nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

You might also want to consider the Doug Thorley Tri-Y LT headers - I am pretty happy with mine as are most of the folks that got them in the group buy earlier this year. I'm not real happy that you can get them now for just $30 more than what we paid in the GB and waited months for.... Still, it's a good alternative with the tri-y design and full ceramic coating inside and out.

Re: nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

The collector is too large on the Pacesetters and you will hurt your low-end torque...I say don't do it

Re: nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

i found the nismo headers on their website but i dont know if they are still selling them. havent called to ask yet. cant believe how expensive the headers and catback system would be. but you do get what you pay for when it comes to performance parts. thanks for the insight on everything.

Re: nismo headers and catback system VS the stillen system

I love my Nismo Headers and Exhaust. Paired with Magnaflow hi-flow cats I think it sounds just right.

They are $575 shipped on Ebay, based on a preorder from a guy named Steven. Any comments on whether that is legit?
