Damn based on his dyno graph this cams falls off at 4250rpm and nose dives really bad...
The Intake Manifold is what is killing our top end power. If i had the money i would adapt a LS3 manifold to the VK56 and pick up some top end. JWT has a couple different cam profiles for the VK56, but they show No big increase in power over the S2 cams, so they are not pushing them.

cams dont do to bad as i see it in the titans, toomnymods said he gained 50 hp above 5500rpm. pgm isnt going to get that and is 2/3's the cost, just alot easier to install, lol
in the 1/4 mile think about how much you are in the 5k and up rpm range, at least half the track if not more.
It can show all the power it wants on the dyno, but there are no track times to impress me...I want real world power, not a piece of paper and graph power LOL....13.7 is the best times for a Titan with cams and Slicks/DR's, hell I could run that with slicks or DR's....PapaD and his cams was only maybe .04 quicker than me in the 1/4 and he had a KC to my CC...They haven't proven themselves at all IMO...I will make oyu a bet, I guarantee you I will gain more than that with the PGM, then I will say I told you so lol..I know someone that is modded like me who just got one, he said its crazy now

If you actually read the thread, you would have seen that I mentioned your 12.9 run with your higher stall....I really could care less about the times on a stall convertor since I don't want to go that far....There are 2-3 cammed guys who run down here, and not on one them is even .1 faster than me...It doesn't matter what "records" are important to you cause this is my truck....And I will not be spending $1500-$1800 on a mod, when guys were only running 13.7's with it and slicks (when I could probably run that with slicks)....This shouldn't even be a conversion IMO, for that money, it should be 13.4-13.6's with them....Everyone can say what they want about them, but show me where they have proven themselves on the track? (besides with a stall convertor)...Exactly..they won't go on my truck ever
do some research... Adding cams never gives you +50hp all thru the power band.. You lose some uumph down low, and gain a ton up top.. Not my fault the guys ur racing in florida picked absolutely the wrong exhaust to race with.. But if thier happy with it that is all that should matter. By adding a higher stall you take away that dead area of the powerband after adding cams.. go on the chevy sites NO ONE ADDS CAMS WITHOUT ADDING A HIGHER STALL

and by the way have you ever trapped 103mph n/a?? or even 99mph for that matter?? cams allow that wont see a uncammed titan trapping that high unless he sprays
and like i said before when u add n20 to this motor it isnt going to like it till you swap out the cams.. our cams are actually smaller than the 350z cams for christs sake.. you will be banging your head against a wall so to speak like trying to force a golfball thru a straw.. just look at how well RK's titan did with his nitrous and didnt even have headers or any other supporting mods.. spraying a 150-175 shot and only got to a 13.6@98-99mph when n/a titans are faster than that..

Let me clarify here guys, yes i had the wrong exhaust for cams. At the time i got the cams i got a deal i couldnt pass up i didnt even get my headers on for almost a year later. Sure did loose low end on those cams but top end felt good especially towing and highway passing.
Another factor to consider is WEIGHT i got most FST racers by 200 lbs at least. Ive ran a couple of those fast fl titans at the track and they cant pull on me as long as i tree their butts.....LOL........its all in fun for me im not out to break any records im just having fun with you guys. Now that i have the new exhaust in the works and a new tune maybe i can keep up with you guys i dont know but like i say im not that serious just having fun.

The records thing is a little wack sometimes, but all in fun... Still enjoy seeing everyones time, regardless if it's a "record" or not.
Regarding cams, you may not gain a couple tenths with CAMs, but your trap speed WILL go up. Not trying to knock anyone's truck here, but I bet if Ofive-CC ran against say Papa-Ds truck, it would pull it pretty good on the top end because of the cams. You are probably fine with that because you prefer the low end like I do, but I would still opt for cams because it gives us better top end which we need.

Oh I see... Yeah your malifold is the culprit for your Titan top end loss... Im a little lucky that my truck mani does quite well up top

Papa_D first had the Zoomers with 2" y-pipe, then 2.5" y-pipe, and then the tru-dual Nismo. I wouldn't call any of those the "absolute wrong" exhausts. Heck Pinoytitan ran 13.88 with my mods with a Nismo exhaust and no cams, so I know that exhaust works. Look back at some of the old videos where PapaD and Pinoytitan were racing, PAPA_D DIDN'T PULL THAT MUCH ON PINOYTITAN. As a matter of fact, I remember way beack when one of those video's was posted, someone commented "wow thats all the cams do"...Cause you can watch the video, pinoytitan with slightly better low-end, and Papa D would barely nibble 1' or so right before the 1/4 mile....Sure I bet if the race had kept going Papa D would have pulled more. Also, I think PapaD was trapping 97 or so, and he had a base model no power anything XE King Cab, probably the lightest Titan...Float Test I can understand, he had a large 3" y-pipe (although Gweasel ran only .1 slower than me at the track a couple weeks ago with a 3" banks y-pipe and 22's)...plus I think Float is about 250+ lbs heavier, so I can't wait to see what he runs with his 07 exhaust and PGM....Even with that weight, if he treed me I couldn't catch up, but he wouldn't pull on me either. You basically are arguing the same point I tried to make earlier, "without a stall, there's no point in getting the cams"...I'm not planning tranny mods except VB, so it wouldn't benefit me. Its just the point, if someone isn't going to do tranny mods, then there is no point in cams. Witha Stall, the Cams are awesome, I said this earlier already

Not really. He would barely nibble at the top-end. A little worse for me with my exhaust set-up. But pinoytitan and his (either Nismo or 2.5" banks) exhaust, was almost identical on top-end, with PapaD having a barely noticeable difference...Right now I'm looking for the video of one of their old races....Just too much money for me, Cams (1500+ with install) and a few thousand for the stall and install, is too much for me, but that is IMO the only way to do the cams to make it worth it

I should have put I was talking top end in general, not just top end via track. I mean hitting it from a 30 MPH+, 60+, 80+, etc etc.
You should have DF6 call you and hear him punch it in his Titan and SS mid day.
Curious, what gear ratio does each have, Pinoy, Papa, and yourself?

I rode in Papa's, and its cool with the cams.About 1% of my driving is highway driving. I drive a lot in the city and state roads. Plus driving 100+ is probably .01% of my driving...I honestly still wouldn't feel comfortable racing on the highway in this truck (albeit, I would feel more comfortable then I do now) even with cams, still not enough top-end..Being that 1% of my driving would be were I would utilize the gain, it doesn't justify it....Now if I had a higher paying job and had a good amount of money in savings, I may do cams + Stall and tranny, but I don't make nearly enough to afford that, and thats the only way I would want cams
white Titan is non-cammed pinoytitan and green Titan is cammed Papa D, otherwise same mods...but here's one where Papa D wins....but these are older, so I don't know what their exhaust system was at the time
