Come on somebody... strap one on. I am few pennies short right now but I am pretty sure this mod is coming up after step rails.

Banks Delivery

According to UPS the Banks exhaust is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

I'll need some time but I anticipate that it might get installed in the next few days. I will update.

Having played around with exhaust systems before, I'm a skeptic. Get mid-range torque, lose low end...that's usually the deal.

IF this system really gives good usable power, someone please PM me, and I'll put it in the FAQ under "Are there any good aftermarket products that increase performance?"

It Has Arrived!

Guess what was waiting for me when I came home from work Friday? That's right, the Banks Monster (You have to see it to realize why it's called that) Exhaust System!

The pipes are much larger than stock diameter and the exhaust tip is unreal! The polished stainless steel muffler is absolutely stunning.

After looking at the install directions, pretty straight forward, I realized that in order to do it right, (lowering the chance of self injury!) it would be better to have a lift for the install. I have Thursday off and lift time reserved. By noon Thursday I should be experiencing BANKS POWER!

That makes two of us who should be reporting by then!

Wahoooooooooooooo!

Has anybody asked their service manager whether this could void the warranty on any part of the engine? Just wondering. If you had some sort of engine problem (such as an exhaust valve), they could say they designed the whole system with a certain amount of backpressure, and the different exhaust caused the problem by reducing their designed-in exhaust pressure at the manifold.

I'd love to do it too. Just cautious.

Is it duals or a single big pipe?

I did!....I was told the following by my dealership who is promoting the banks system."as long as it is a cat back system and does not infringe on the catalytic converters or engine of the vehicle it will not void your warranty and therefore the dealership has no issues with it".I am installing mine today and will post!

Oooh.. You’re a sick man Jeepinfun! I’m just a little jealous.
Make sure to post your findings. It would also be nice that we knew matter of fact that this is an MPG saver. Thanks

Dyno Sheets - Any Update On Them

So who has received the dyno sheet of this system yet? I was told by Banks it's 16hp and like 25tq. Dyno Sheet would address the tq curve for those of us who tow.
