The Sound of the Banks Monster

It took me a while to figure this out but I finally managed to record a file that you all should hear.

I know a lot of you are curious about how loud the Banks sounds. Now here's your chance!!!!

Hope it satisfies your curiosity.

No it's outside 4 feet from the exhaust tip.

OK, but it's a good thing I've become more patient in my elder years, sheesh!

Here is the Banks Sonata inside the cab of a TITAN.

I draw the line of letting you come and borrow mine to see if you might like it!

Wow! Thanks for the effort. Ok, could you now give us a sample from down the street say from a friends house while your speeding past?

Only kidding… that sounds great, thanks.

Actually it sounds sort of strange too me, the firing sequence… sort of like its missing or one or more cylinders are firing almost on-top of one another.

You know ihave heard that noise before. Duhh I have that same system on my truck. While the slip spounds great you should hear the meoldy of the Titan for your self in person. I will try and get everyone on this board to buy one just because of the sound and not to mention my recent MPG of 19. Just an added bonus. Great clip and thanks for all the effort.

Hey 37L1 and Jeep...Two questions:
1. I'm concerned about highway drone at 75mph anyworse than stock?
2. Does banks supply a (DB) decible level spec?

Thanks
Randy

gots to have one

Wow! Thanks for getting those sound clips 37L1. The cab one was extra nice. Cant wait for the one from down the street in your friends house while you're passing by. How about one from the corner where you're bolting into a right turn? Or one where you're in the cab telling you're wife what a bunch of ingrates we are... and the mpg; -sounds- like a win-win situation to me - thanks guys!

What I have noticed in 2 days is that the loudest it gets is when you are putting the hammer down. Acclerating up through the curve until cruise speed is louder than stock but not too. For those of you who think that the stock Titan can be wearing on a long trip, the Banks is probably not for you.

If you listen to your CD's/MP3's (we all know about the radio!) the sound isn't going to be that noticable.

But I must admit, I haven't been listening to the CD's much since the Banks went on! Just love listening to it . . . . it's like I'm closer to My TITAN's heartbeat.

Don't know about Banks dcbl's. Probably could email/call during business hours and get that info if you want it. Check their web site for their contact info, nothing on the site regarding the Titan exhaust except that it's available, the last time I checked. :37L1

"recent MPG of 19"

This sounds interesting.

1. What MPG were you getting previously? Is this city/hwy combined?

2. What is on your truck? 4x4? Big Tow? Off Road? CC or KC?

Now once a mfg. posts a dyno sheet, then it becomes basically a warranty. If they are advertising based on dyno sheet claims and the consumers don't get the same results, there are going to be problems. I was wondering if that is why we are not seeing a dyno sheet. I am also wary of the PELA Syndrome: Placebo Effect + Louder = Awesome!!!!!
im not doubting they have a dyno sheet already, they most likely have several with each trial and test they do. all of this is done before production of the system is started, its also not financially viable to switch design and production of a system after you start just to satisfy the consumer with a few more ponies. what makes you think they couldnt post a dyno and manipulate results? no ones watching them run the dyno, then watch that info be transferred to is public relations and web. department. check out there site, they dont even have a nissan truck to click on for products yet since its still fairly new.

I have Crew Cab with the Big Tow package and Off-Road Package. That MPG was all Highway crusing around 70. The drone in the cab is a little louder than stock, but nothing that a little more volume on the radio can't cure.
