I know there is a ton of information on here regarding the Cortex, but the info on the GT tuner is limited to very few threads. Im looking to improve my performance, mostly while towing and like the idea of the trans temp gauge on the GT but more importantly I want a trouble free install and operation. Your thoughts on the two are much appriciated.
The gt is the same as the pp as far as performance goes. The gt also has a driving coach to tell you where you're waisting energy and other cool stuff. You have to buy the probes to get trans temp and other features.

That Triple Dog GT Tuner looks pretty cool for live time monitoring. If it's anything like Superchips, there should be a 30-day satisfaction guarantee of some sort. Keep us posted!!!
Going to tow for the first time with the Cortex this weekend. Talked to Scott at superchips and I think I will try to tow in the 87 performance mode just due to already haveing 87 in the tank. Scott mentioned the onlt issue I might have is some pinging...guess we will see.
I've got the Superchips Cortex and love it. I've got a 2004 Titan and at the time i bought my programmer it was pretty much the only one available for the '04. I usually run the 87 octane tune and it is very noticable over stock. The high octane tune is a real smile maker but i usually can't afford to fill with high octane gas and then go burn it up with my heavy foot. LOL It has a fuel saver mode that i haven't messed with yet but think it might be usefull for long interstate highway trips. It has alot of other usefull features such as reading and clearing trouble codes. I don't know much at all about the BullyDog but i'm sure its equally as good.

have you had any problems with the truck running lean or rich sometimes on the 04 with supercjips
I personally haven't had any issues with that at all. I believe the truck has never ran so good. I have been nothing but pleased with the purchase. The fact that it has trouble code reading and clearing is almost worth the money i paid in itself.
