Re: Loudest and Best sounding headers

Only ones available now are JBA shorties, Stillen LT and Thorley LT. Nismo are no longer made. Nismo were the best from what I learned but I dropped the ball and didn't snag a set while I had the chance. I'll prolly wind up going with the Thorley LT myself.

Re: Loudest and Best sounding headers

each header is going to make your truck much louder but you also have to put into factor what exhaust you have if you want to know the loudest... loudest i have heard is nismo headers and catback.

Re: Loudest and Best sounding headers

It was probably just done at a muffler shop then. Get a magnaflow up under there!

Re: Loudest and Best sounding headers

I doubt there could be anything louder than a Nismo catback/Nismo headered truck with no cats. The type of loud where you can't be near it when it revs LOL....Get ya some DT's or Stillens, eliminate your cats and put a 14" Magnaflow on there and I'm sure your truck will be screaming. It might be raspy, but it will be loud LOL

Re: Loudest and Best sounding headers

I would think that they would all sound about the same running open without an exhaust connected to em.......lmao

Re: Loudest and Best sounding headers

I had my exhaust off from the b-pipes back the other day to paint it and just had to go for a drive. Man is this thing loud; rumbles the whole cab. Sounded like a trophy truck when I got on it, although there was no low end, not that I expected there to be. I'm sure the nieghbors hate me but it put a smile on my face. I bet it would sound great with some LT no cats and a nice muffler.

That is aloud set-up for sure! I am in the process of looking for a new muffler, cause mine seems a bit raspy, but these trucks usually are pretty raspy with no cats

Re: Loudest and Best sounding headers

After putting the LT's on, my son had football practice the next morning. I let him drive it to school (less than 2 miles away) and then to the muffler shop which was only down the street from the school.

He had a hellofa smile on his face when he left that morning.....reminded me of being at Texas Speedway on race day.......lol

Re: Loudest and Best sounding headers

I loved my drive to the muffler shop when all I had was my JBA shorties on. That was a good morning. Oh and I know for a fact I woke a few people up on my block when I first started it.lol But to be on topic My JBAs really woke up my exhaust tone. It is deeper and very much so louder. The guy at the shop after installing my b-pipes he made started it up and was like wow that is loud there must be a leak somewhere. So he checked and said no leak, then asked me if I would rev it a few times. Every one there turned around and was like what the F then the muffler guy told me you sure you dont want me to put another muffler on that for you.lol From my video you wont get the real affect of it but lets just say it is loud.

Re: Loudest and Best sounding headers

it was def a muffler shop, im 18 so im looking for as loud as it gets the nismo set up sounds beast, i havent had too much interest towards the jba's no setup with them had me, i only plan on eliminating my secdary cats i dont want to run too lean, i am almost done paying it off so ive been looking for some changes and that is going to be cams and headers and then go from there.

Cams + Headers = Uprev....
You are going to run lean on the Headers along.

After my LT headers I was lean. Uprev ETune..
After changing out my stock CATs for HF Flow CATs and was a tad lean again. Got another Etune.
