Dual Exhaust??

I got quoted 300$ for a exhaust system. They will cut the Y-pipe out and run a pipe from each side to a dual in/dual out flowmaster. Then chrome tips 3" pipe I think. Now my question is will I lose or gain HP/ torque kinda scared to do it if im going to lose either or. But as far as the price of the system not to bad you think?

you may gain across the whole band or not, no one knows how our engines takes to diff. exhausts since its so early. you could dyno before and after and post it, that would be nice. either way i know itll sound plain bad arse. 300 isnt too bad considering they are installing it. if you install a cat-back system (all bolt on) yourself you could buy a gibson (alluminized steel) for $50 more but its a single outlet, im not sure on the availablity/pricing on the duals. duals will surely be louder and throatier if intimidating hemis is your fancy.

I was going to get the 40 series but they only offer one pipe with that. So I had to jump up to 50 for the dual. Ill try to get pics up this weekend and what do I need for a sound clip.

I went dual on mine and used Magnaflow "FloPro" cross pipe muffler. Also installed 18" x 3" machined stainless steel tips. It sounds awesome. I don't know for sure how many horses I gained, but my truck is much more responsive and accelerates smoother. I have also gained around 2 mpg.

Yes, make a nice long sound recording and I can burn it on a CD and save $300.

So how does the Flowmaster 50 sound inside the cab? Just got my Titan CC and it's got just the right amount of rumble in the cab, I'd just like a little more rumble out the back. So I guess my question is; how much of a difference inside does it make?

I wonder what the 70 series would sound like on the Titan? It's supose to be quieter than the 50. Anyone out there tried the 70 yet?

Wink Re: Dual Exhaust??

Anyone have any thoughts about the Flowmaster 40 series muffler with dual pipes? Any complaints about it, or does anyone think it is too loud..? I am thinking about putting it on my 06 Titan..?? Please leave feedback and tell me what you think. Thanks.
