The tail lights might be one of those secondary offenses, only mentioned if pulled over for something else. As for the reverse light problem...I bought a set of KC reverse kit's. Mounted them right under my rear bumper, they have 55w fog light bulbs in them. I wired them in using a relay and they are actuated when I put the truck in reverse and also when the cargo lights come on, I also wired them through a switch so I could turn them off directly. Install took me a day just because I took my time messing with it all, running the power wire down the frame and hiding all the wires the best I could. After I got them in I parked the truck in the middle of the driveway and just kept aiming them out till it was at a point that I liked. They come in handy when you are starting to back out of a spot in a parking lot, most people don't "see" when you put your car in reverse, these tend to get their attention pretty quick.

now just get the kc lights for reverse and get the led strip for braking and you're all set....

MD that looks awesome. I want to do mine, but I pun out because I can't afford tickets...thats mod money LOL....but like Pinoy said, a lot of people have them and done't get pulled over. Heck I used to have blacked out lights on a vehicle and never got in trouble for it. Could he do it a little lighter and leave the clear reverse lense non darkened? Did he use tint or VHT?

They also make one of those reverse strips that has the white reverse lights in it too. I think it's called the Line of Fire and Ice. That might be an option.
