Actually - I think it was on the frame (at least a rear crossmember). The first crack was the frame breaking - then the big pull and EVERYTHING came with it...

Vehicle weight and stance has a lot to do with this, especially in 2wd, clearly it's an apples to oranges pulloff. That is a [much lighter] old body style F-150, the new body style F-150 (which I own) are much heavier. I have a fully loaded 4x4 Supercrew, I weigh in at 6200+ lbs with myself inside. I've had to weigh it after bringing it to Cali. I would gladly hook up to anyone who lives near me (driving a Titan of course) as long as whatever the outcome, no slurs of slander are projected at one another. I've a very nice guy and enjoy trucks. I have driven a Titan before (fully loaded) and really have to give Nissan credit for that vertical sliding rear window, I have a power horizontal rear slider and am very jealous. I also liked how I exited the vehicle and the seat went back, nice touch. I'll be introducing myself in another thread somewhere after this post.
I was able to run 6.8 0-60's in cold weather previous to the Underdrive Pullies I recently installed, not bad for a 4x4 Supercrew. I know you guys don't even consider Ford your competition, and that is mostly due to our weight, I'm putting out decent numbers as you'll see in my sig. The lift mentioned in my sig is a Fabtech 6" w/coilovers, it's already here, the tires are on their way. Like I said, I'm not here to insult anyone, just trying to give some of you a better outlook on the F-150 and hopefully meet a few locals.
