did you use a custom-mount, or was it also supplied by the Iway manufacturer?

It came with some RAM mount stuff. I had to order a new baseplate to bolt to the dash, the rest of the parts I used were included. I also got the external antenna since it wont get a good view of the sky mounted where it is.

is the antenna similar to those used by Pioneer/Kenwood/etc, or is it one of those CB-style antennas?

the stock ant is internal. This is the external. About 2.5x3.5 You can mount it to the windshield but I just put it on the roof
